Hi friends, Hope you all are very fine. Today I have decided to find out the 5 best games of ever among the 1000's. So I started to sort out the best 5 among many other favs of mine along with the reason to be. As we all know it's very difficult to do so as it seems to find a pin in the ocean but just take that as a try. Please also let me know yours so I can find the differences and to be more corrected and educated. Waiting eagerly for your ones and opinion about my ones.

Take care.

Syberia:

If there is any game in the world which must should played by any gamer is Syberia. I don't know about other people but it's a dream game of mine. I have completed Syberia 1 & 2 more than 5 times and every time it's just seems to me a new one. The same thing happened to the people played Syberia whom I know. Syberia is a game which will definitely take you into a different world. The world of dreams. The story begins with Kate Walker a Lawyer who started her jouney into a village for a company (Investigations). The story of Syberia is simply excellent and the graphics is marvellous. Each & every characters role has been set so nicely. The Puzzles are really excellent and one will definitely by solving those. I never liked to play RPG adventure games before but after playing syberia it just turned my gaming world. So those who didn't play Syberia 1 and 2 yet I am requesting them to play Syberia right now. Because it is the game of life. Hope there will be more Syberia sequels in nearfuture.

Indigo Prophecy:

I just completed this amazing & revolutionary game now. It's really such a game which can easily drive you into a different world. Actually I played the European version which has been named as " Fahrenheit ". And I hope you all know very well that Indigo Prophecy is the US version name. And believe it or not there are lots of differences in between these two versions. Whatever the both game are same. Fahrenheit or Indigo Prophecy is no doubt one of the best game in 2005. And why I just explained below:

The Story:An excellent story. Most of the game's stories of today's are almost been related or some kinda same. But Fahrenheit or Indigo Prophecy is really different. It's movie based story really make you feel better while feeling bore by playing same kinda Story based FPS or RTS or anygames. The story based on Lucas Kane an ordinary citizen (Actually not - which one will definitely find later) who just possessed by a Mysterious human (A Clan) and killed an innocent man. But when he back to normal he found himself as a murderer (Actually which he never did conciously) and tried to find behind all of these to prove his innocense. The game just start right after that. Another excelltent thing of this game is you have to play with four different characters all the time.

Graphics: It's graphics is excellent. As I already told you that it's a movie based games which means when you will play this game you will also feel that you are enjoying a movie. The best thing of this game is you don't need a higher end graphics card or PC to play this game smoothly though it's graphics is amazing.

Characters: The role of the characters related to each other and with the environment so perfctly which make the game more successful.

Controlling:
One of the serious problem of today's games is controlling system. Fahrenheit is clearly out of it. It's controlling system is excellent and very easy to operate.

Sound System:
It's sound system is also very good.

Now the thing is every good things has some bad things also. I didn't find so many bad things of Fahrenheit except two:

1. This game is not for the people under 18. Because the reason of two extreme nudity in the game, specially the last one (Only for Fahrenheit, the European version - as I already told you the differences between Indigo Prophecy & Fahrenheit) . But In my opinion they are not the problem of this game. Because it happened in the right situation & environment to perfectly fullfill the story.

Final Verdict:

At last I wanna tell you one thing if you are a gamer then you should must play Fahrenheit (Personally suggested to play the European version as Indigo Prophecy the US version is actually a sencored version.

Dragon Age:

This is an amazing game. Basically I don't like playing RPG's at all. Before that I only played a few. But after hearing a lot about it I just bought the game and started playing only to give a glimpse and the result is for the last 2 days I played the game almost for 10 hours and still playing it.

THE GOOD:

It's simply a wonderful game with a wonderful story. The graphic is excellent along with it's sound effects. So many options there in the game and yet to reveal many. This is such a game which will definitely force you to keep plying until you complete it. The character's are well occupied. Each one has different abilities to do tasks. The battle with the bosses will definitely cheer you up all the time. To kill the first boss it took 7 consecutive attempts of mine. Gosh. In a word, this is simply an awesome game.

THE BAD:

Didn't find a one so far. But to me the lengthy dialogues bores me time to time despite they are very much related and necessary to complete a task. Only 4 characters can be played at a time in the game as there is only 4 slots whether I liked to play with all of them.

Final Verdict:

Those who even don't play RPG's should definitely play this game to have a different experience and to find something so exclusive.

GTA: Liberty City

Among very few GTA is one of those games which already crowned itself as best many times. This is one of ma all time favorite game (Especially Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV). Followed to the series Episode One is also very well executed. Here for the first time there are two story modes with 2 different characters certainly entertains you twice than the previous ones. This is one can call something very unique. Lot's of options added which were not available before.

The Good:

1. As good as the previous ones (Especially Vice City, San Andreas and GTA IV).
2. First time there are two story modes with 2 different characters
3. Graphic is very good.
4. Lots of new stuffs
5. Unique side missions (Club Fights, Drug Wars, Parachute Jumping)
6. Both game plays are excellent.

The Bad:

1. Don't wanna say anything negative about it. Just one thing to say, this game is certainly not for the gamers of under 18 as for some sexual contents).

Final Verdict:

GTA been always known as the game of life. This series is perhaps the most popular gaming series in the whole world and the last one of the series just proved why it is.

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty

What a game it is. Without a doubt it's one of the best RTS game of ever. It's already crowned itself to be the best RTS game so far. This game certainly showed how a RTS supposed to be. I played this great game almost one and half months later it's been released and for that I can only curse myself now for not to play that on time.

The Good:

1. The game play is simply superb and so unique. Too many verities in the single player campaign mode which will not definitely make you feel bore like other RTS for sure.

2. Graphics and animations are mind blowing.

3. Excellent features and options. Cantina, Laboratory, Armory, Bridge are one of the most exclusive features of this game.

4. In the cantina you will fine an additional game in the selected gaming console which is worth to play as bonus.

The Bad:

1. Some missions are very tough which will take several hours to complete.

2. The devastation/destruction result of the nuke explosion is very funny. It just effective as like as a hand grenade.

3. Expected some features more like Plasma laser cannon of C & C Generals or Zero Hour.

Final Verdict:

It's a revolutionary game for sure and no question on it. At last the RTS lovers got some thing very unique.

Some other fav games of mine: Mafia, The Godfather, Far Cry, Singularity, Just cause 2, Nocturne, Resident Evil, Cold Fear

Thanks & Regards,

Antar

I'll bite.

1. Doom II: The combination of simplicity and carnage make for a game that just can't be beat even 16 years later.

2. Gothic II:Gold: Storyline that is compelling with choices that matter and a living world. Every inch of the games oozes atmosphere and careful care into creating a world that I consider to be the best of any RPG.

3. STALKER: Take your pick with CoP or SoC. I love them both and shows how to create an unparalled atmosphere and genius story into a package that shows off the platform better then any other game.

4. Baldur's Gate II: Decent storyline with living world and NPC interaction that has yet to be bested by any game save Planescape Torment which falls flat on everything BUT story and choices.

5. Hexen: Adventure game with Doom style combat in a gothic fantasy world would merit the 5th spot easily. How well it is done makes for an appreciation of a unique blend I have yet to see done again.

1: Doom 2, just an amazing game. Even now it is very fun game to play. Simple, but very fun. Continuing the FPS revolution of Original Doom but improving on the original formula.

2: Half Life 1, Revolutionary gameplay in FPS at the time. Great story with interaction with other NPCs, great AI which many new games dont have. Half Life spawned massive modding community. Probably the largest amount of mods is on HL 1 engine.

3: GTA: Vicy City. I think its the best in the series but I havent played the GTA 4 episodes and original top down games. Takes the revolutionary gameplay of GTA 3 and improves on it. Its a great game which has a good story, good music, very fun gameplay. GTA overall has been a huge success. For me it is more memorable than GTA 3.

4: Deus Ex. I played the game for the first time in 2008 and was very impressed. The graphics might have aged but not the gameplay. Deus Ex has one of the best stories I have seen in a game. The gameplay is great. The player gets a choice on how to proceed on each level. Run and Gun, stealth or other. The game has atmosphere, music, interesting locations and characters.

5: Battlezone 1 and 2. Just have to mention both of them. Two great games, great mix of strategy, combat and simulation which I havent seen in any other games yet. Or at least which was done well. Battlezone 2 has great multiplayer. Sadly the single player AI is not that great... There are mods which make the game more challenging. For example the unofficial expansion pack.

I guess the games I have chosen are partially based on what effect they had on the game industry but I have finished Doom 2 so many times that I lost count. Half Life, finish the game multiple time and play many different mods. Thats why I say revolutionary gameplay...

Other mentions of great games are Duke Nukem 3D, Morrowind, Gothic 2, X-com UFO Unknown, Dark Reign,

Populous: The Beginning (nearly made it to my list of 5 best games), the game went under the radar but I think its still a great strategy game. Fun and unique gameplay. Sadly Bullfrog died. Hope Peter Molyneux will remember some of his older creations one day... Another game that didnt catch on was Sub Culture.

1- Borderlands. Fun and sometimes insane action and gets even better with a friend.

2- Fallout 3. Lots to explore and tons of side quests to keep you interested.

3- Plants vs Zombies. Sucha simple and cute game but they found the magic way to do it, this game doesn't get old.

4- Wow. Was best mmo 6 yrs ago and still the king.

5- Worms world party/armegaddon. Great with friends and can still make you laugh after playing 100's of games of it.

FPS edition

-Starsiege Tribes - The best online shooter ever made (subject to opinion, of course). It allowed players to do more than just kill. Allowed players to set up base defense. Not just your typical TF2 engi turret base defense, you could set up force fields, mobile item stations, blast walls, blast shields, A various array of turrets. You could virtually make an impenetrable fortress. The mechanics for base defense were so in depth that it was common practice for members of a clan to exclusively do base defense. These people would play a match without the intension of ever firing their weapon. Players had HUGE maps and jet packs to navigate the terrain. There were vehicles and stationary turrets, as well. There were various load outs and a large selection of weapons. These kinds of in depth mechanics are lost on FPS games today. Even now Tribes is the most complex online shooter I have ever played. Hopefully history will repeat its self and another shooter like this comes along, but with the business models of today I highly doubt that will happen.

-Half-Life/Half-Life 2 - Don't really need to say much here. This was one of the first truly immersive FPS games made. The Valve engines spawned some of the best mods too.

-Deus Ex - Plenty of options, plenty of story, a perfect balance and a very memorable game.

-Battlefield 1942 - All out war online, it was the first online FPS I truly loved after the Tribes community folded.

-Counter-Strike/CS: Source - Again, not much to say here. Just purely awesome online shooters.

Starcraft II graphics aren't nothing special. DoW II or World In Conflict are older and the visuals are much better.

I would totally sign this!

Add Morrowind to join VTMB as best RPGs ever and you have a list of games you could take on a desert island and never will look back!

It may lack the fidelity of those games, but it makes up through variety and an incredible amount of detail.

Also, any list that doesn't include Minecraft is just wrong.

Another one worth to mention is "No One Lives Forever"kuasha786

Definitely. My best games ever would be favorites that I've enjoyed and been thrilled with the most over my gaming history (which literally starts at pong):

Half-Life (1 + 2)
No One Lives Forever (1 + 2)
Crysis
Deus Ex
Star Control 2

Honorable mention to Battlefield 2 for being the multi-player game I've enjoyed the most ever.

Without a doubt NOLF is one of the best game in the gaming world. Despite that I have to mention that the way I've been entertained on playing the first one did not get that much in 2.

Wonderfull to see people respect DOOM 2 as much as they do, I thought I was the only one who has it as his fav game.

Here's my fav PC games:

  1. DOOM 2
  2. Half-Life 2
  3. Bioshock
  4. Deus Ex
  5. Baldur's gate 2: Shadows of Amn
  6. Planescape: Torment

As for why I like them, I think these legendary games speak for themselves.

1. Half Life 1 & 2 equally - I love the story, the mysterious characters, the variation in level design. Ultimately I find the story and the concept behind it interesting, on top of it being a fantastic shooter and the closest to perfect a game has ever been.

2. World of Warcraft - Interesting world riddled with unique features all over the place - a sense of place, the combat's always satisfying because of the smooth animations, the way all the characters can move around freely while fighting, the constant great updates by Blizzard, the lovable art style.

3. System Shock 2 - Scary and extremely immersive, deep gameplay and very challenging, that great twist in the story. No game's quite come as close to keeping me feeling tense throughout the entire experience - helped by the fact that you always need to be extremely careful with ammo and weapon repair preservation, you're always searching carefully around the environment for anything that can help you progress that little bit further all the while not knowing when a random enemy will be on your tail, the game NEVER gives you a break from being under attack either.

4. Planescape: Torment - I've experienced no other game with scripting/dialogue as good as this. It keeps you interested and always wanting to know more about every character and each and every little bit of lore throughout the entire game. The fact that I enjoyed this so much with my first playthrough being only a few months ago says it all.

5. Deus Ex - Intruiging, deep, philisophical story...in a game of all things, levels packed with interesting little secret passages, you're able to approach a level in multiple ways all being as effective as each other, lengthy campaign and interesting script. This is one of the most immersive games I've ever played and one of the few FPS's that doesn't treat you like an idiot.
