Four HD 3870's are probly better... or four HD 3870X2's. That would **** POWNZZZZ!!! Yeah good point, with that i bet you could max Crysis @ 2560x1600.Though in order to get 4 HD 3870's you'll need the Spider Platform, and a Phenom X4 would likely bottleneck (No biggie though)

I think you threw gas on a fire...
Indes, you better start sending money orders to the AMD driver team. Get the ball rolling for performance enhancing drivers. :lol:Wesker776Dude,i'm not saying i'm getting 25FPS,i'm just saying its playable to me lol

While he's sig'd you, you should make him get you something if you're right.
Maybe a HD3870 X2 would be a nice present?

If it comes with good air cooling anda Corsair VX450 PSU :D[QUOTE="Wesker776"]Dude,i'm not saying i'm getting 25FPS,i'm just saying its playable to me lol[QUOTE="Indestructible2"][QUOTE="Wesker776"]Indes, you better start sending money orders to the AMD driver team. Get the ball rolling for performance enhancing drivers. :lol:Indestructible2

If it comes with good air cooling anda Corsair VX450 PSU :DThe HD3870 X2 on its own is good enough.
Just headout and buy a good 500w PSU to go with it. :D
(Here's hoping that some AMD driver developer reads this and is now working hard on those R680 drivers  )

So you guys are talking about TWO 3870 X2s not FOUR right? Earlier someone was talking about four 3870s and then it turned into the X2. Just to clarify.
as you should have known im not a long time pc gamer so plz simplify the tech stufffootfoe2
It's really very simple, Footfoe. Some people like Intel and some people like AMD. Just like some people prefer ATI and others nVidia. Your question was a simple one and understandable, as you are new to PC gaming. You want to know whats best. I could give you my opinion, but others would disagree.
So, I'll suggest this. Go to Google and run a search for Intel vs AMD benchmarks. Go to several of the sites the search provides and look at the charts showing the scores, then read the author's conclusions. Repeat this process with ATI vs nVidia. Once you have a general idea of the way things are, go to a site like NewEgg and price the parts that looked the best to you in the benches. Look at the reviews that previous purchasers have posted about each part. Weigh the part's performance vs the amount you want to spend and don't forget to read the reviews previous purchasers have posted. Even if you don't want to buy from NewEgg, the prices and reviews make it a handy resource. Just remember, the most expensive stuff isn't always the most value for the money.
Have you guys seen MadExponents Rig? hes a poster on this forums in his sig is his rig.. Take a read of that. That is the best built system i have persoanlly seen.. User search him or something its amazing
