The Best Video Game Universe?

The ones mentioned above are good.. But i wont consider them the best.. It is difficult to say which is the best.. I will just mention the best for each genre..

FPS - Half Life series
TPS - Max Payne series
RTS - Homeworld series, C&C series
RPG - Elder Scrolls series, Diablo series
Action Adventure - GTA series, POP seriesk_ozz

I think lord of the rings deserves some credit, they have some entertaining games.

The black and white games have a nice setting, its always fun being a god.

But star wars got my vote, knights of the old republic is the best rpg i have ever played, seen or will ever play.

I am going old school, but MechWarrior.. That series was made for the PC only, They put it on console, but to me it lost it's estatic value.

I agree. Mechwarrior is awesome. Mechassault is mediocre.

RPG: Deus Ex & Mass Effect.

i chose othe because the second spore comes out, it will be my universe!! haha, well to be honest i think that spore will be my fav, cause of all the customization. but to be honest they all are diferent.... depends on my mood really, if im in a mood for action, mystery, a slowly building and satisfying game or story. bla bla

I voted other. I'd say:

Rpg: The Witcher, Torment, NWN1 and Elder Scrolls. And KotoR is really darn good too, but I didn't want to vote for that because it's not my favorite.

Racing: I'd have to say Trackmania and Dirt/Grid.

MMO: I'm going to get flamed for this, but I've been playing Perfect World lately and I like it a lot. I like the idea of fantasy games being completely unrealistic and fantastical. If I'm playing a fantasy game, I want to be able to do stuff like fly through the air and visit cloud dwellings. I'll also throw Requiem into the mix. I haven't played it as much, but the setting is original.
