Battlefield 2 that is.

Can it be run with vista? I downloaded it but the game doesn't play, it won't run. So Idk I was guessing it doesn't work with vista.

Can you help?

When I open the game the bf2 logo comes up the screen turns black like its about to run then it goes back to my desktop and does nothing.

First thing to do with any game is reinstall.

Do it.

oooh that sounds bad. That reminds me of the first time I got bf2. Had that same problem. I foudn out it was because my graphics card wasn't good enough to run it. What are your specs? I bet money you need a new graphics card.

Most likely be your graphics card...

The BF2 Complete Collection has a really bad installer in that it tries to install all the games at once, You are best exploring the disc and finding the separate installers for each game.

Install BF2 then reboot,

Install Special Forces then reboot.

Patch to 1.41 then reboot if necessary.

Don't bother with the other stuff as no one plays it. I had loads of trouble with the BF2 Complete Collection install with various things working and not working, then I installed it all separately and it all worked perfectly.
