So how does everybody feel about this game? I have been playing it since i woke up at 3:00am and made it out of the dungeon and died as soon as i got out because the town was full of goblins. My personal opinion i think bethesda was a company full of drunks in 1992-1993. And they might of smashed the real TES Arena and had this game sitting in a drawer and decided to release it instead idk. I have died so far 46 times in the dungeon and counting. You would think why waste my time but i have been off and on attempting to play it for the past 2 weeks. I just keep getting killed by the goblins or the serial killer living in the dungeon. So did anyone have fun with this game? I sure haven't.

Also getting Skyrim today since Bethesda sobered up during Morrowinds development and became a decent company so no worries about me trolling on Bethesda.

Daggerfall is the best Elder Scrolls games to date, don't know what you guys are on about. Arena hasn't aged well at all thou, buy hey it didn't have that idiotic system where monsters level with you.

I don't know, Daggerfall hasn't aged well either. That and it has that idiotic system where the whole world is randomly generated.

It is a good and incredible big RPG (you can visit all the provinces of Tamriel in this one), but I prefer Daggerfall. I think both aged badly, not because of the graphics but the controls. I still play them a lot tough.

Woot, randomly generated is the **** There was nothing more epic then travling real time over the world in that game.

Definitely that's a great feature of both of these games. I like the vastness of the lands, Skyrim is where it's at now but Arena was on Bethesda's site and i just had to check into it since iv'e palyed the other games already excluding Daggerfall. Which i might look into that someday. I just can't believe how difficult the dungeon was.

That fact that you need dosbox to run a game means it hasn't aged well.

I tried to get into daggerfall but the ray tracing and controls killed it for me. Nothing like a game that's hard to control and makes you motion sick.

Never played Arena, but Daggerfall was also very difficult at the start if you didn't choose exactly the right skillset when making your character.

I completely disagree. There are so many classic adventure games that have actually aged rather well.

So far I spent 32 hours with Skyrim, and no matter what nostalgic thoughts anyone has of previous iterations, this is by far the best one yet.

I'll put it this way, if you let a person who never played any ES game before try all the games from 1 to 5, s/he will most likely choose Skyrim as the best of the lot. The rest is just nostalgia clouding our judgment.
