Hey Guys,

I built my gaming computer on the school holidays. I know it has been a long time since then but I just wanted to upload some photos so you could see her finished. I called her Aurora. I have all of my major programs installed and am in the process of installing games through Steam and CD's.

I want to thank you guys for all of your help. I must get back to my games though. :D

I have the same RAM as you do. Hopefully you don't have any bad sticks. Every time I purchase RAM, I have it tested before I leave.

Hell yeah it's considered a project (to me at least). Especially if it's the first time doing so. Tense moments that first time I fired up my own home-built PC, also rewarding!

Absolutely, especially on my first build. Such a good feeling when nothing went wrong!

My current server project has debian with proxmox hosting several VMs.

The longest single part of the project was the unboxing and putting together of all the components and installing debian and proxmox. Each VM takes about half as long as the initial build.

Since like 2004, everything is easy and idiot proof now, there's just no challenge anymore.

It still takes take, which is what makes it a project.

How would I tell if I had any bad RAM???

I have Team Fortress 2, The Sims 3, Planetside 2, Garry's Mod, Terraria and Counter Strike: Source so far.

I plan on getting a lot more than those. The future is bright. :)

Your PC wouldn't work properly with faulty RAM by BSOD'ing (Blue Screen of Death) randomly, so it's very easy to tell. If your PC works, it works! ;)

You can check your RAM by using Memtest or Memory Diagnostic Tool in Windows installation disc.
