I wouldn't be buying any other boards right now until the word is out. If your doing a build put yourself on a 4 day freeze! I won't be waiting though. Soon as the Gigabyte P35 replacement for the DS3 is out I am grabbing it.
Dailytech did a little preview of the DQ6 versions, you should go have a look at them to.

I did! I am shocked they are coming so soon! Wish Gary @ anandtech would give some more numbers but they are very loyal to NDA. Finally people are getting their hands and these and showing the real performance. Looks like a sure winner to me.
It looks like an ide cable would partially hide the sata ports on that Gigabyte DQ6 board. And the ide connector on an Asus P5K non deluxe is very badly placed (upper left corner of the board). And I don't need wi-fi for now to justify the extra cost of the deluxe version. That single ide connector is still important to me.

Seems like the Asus has the option in the bios to almost stop any form of Vdrop (.08 under load). Hope the Gigabyte has that as well as I am done with Asus after working with both the P5N-E and the P5N32-E Plus. I seen one early benchmark that was talking about how hot the SouthBridge is. This should be interesting. I will take a chance regardless. I just ordered a OCZ 700W PSU since mine only has the 1 4 pin jack.
