Everytime I try to install this game it says i can't because I need directx 9.0c or higher, but I am certain I have it. Should I just reinstall 9.0c? Where can I get it? Usually it's just installed automatically when I'm installing a game.

I just did that, it installed the June 2008 update, but the game still won't install.

Uh install SP2 for XP if you don't have it.

Try the compatibility modes as well. W2k Mode if you can.

I take it this is a legitimate copy - i am just going by similar problems i have read on the web.

Hey what I did was copy all the files from the cd onto any folder anywhere. Next u right click the autorun application (about 700kb and has a blue EA icon) and go to compatibility -> run as windows 2000. Then just double click it and install the game!

Just change the directx version value to 0 in a file autorun.cfg in godfather game autorun folder.
