Ok here is the problem, for some strange thing, when I hook up my ps3 with the HDMI cable it doesn't display anything anymore. It always worked very well and everything but now it doesn't. At first I thought my Ps3 was damaged but I tried it with the Standard Cables and it works fine with no problems at all. Is there a way to fix this or could my HDMI Cable be damaged and need to buy a new one? By the way my HD TV seems to be fine so I don't understand what the problem is.

When you hook it up to your ps3, before you turn it on, put your finger on the "on" button until it beeps about 3 or so times. By then, the display should work

Um. Maybe use component cables or something, and set the display resolution to something the hdmi cable to do as a default, seeing as it can't do standard definition 480i via hdmi

so you ps3 worked in HMDI before? Hmm. Could be a bad port as suggested. I know when I plug my PS3 into a non HDMI TV over at a friends house, then plug it back into my HDMI on my TV its always a black screen because I forgot to switch it back over to HDMI setting on the PS3. This is a stupid question, but was your TV source set to HDMI?

Yeah when I set the source mode to HDMI it doesn't work still. It use to work before but now it doesn't so yeah the port must be the problem then.

The problem is either your TV or your PS3.

You can try to connecting other HDMI sources to your TV and see if that works, if it doesn't then the problem is with your TV.

You can try to hook up your PS3 to another HDTV. If that doesn't work then the problem is with your PS3.

Its the PS3 im sure of. I used the HDMI cable on other devices on my HDTV and it works great so it has to be the ps3 then.
