I love the joys of cheap gaming. There are so many cheap games that provide sevenfold more enjoyment than many newer games that are currently releasing. Look at UT2004, I bought it for 10 dollars, and it's one of the best FPS that I have ever played. Examine Worms World Party, also ten dollars, one of the best strategy experiences that I have ever had the great pleasure to enjoy. Does anybody know of similar tidbits of joy that are scattered around the world for such cheap prices?
Here's some big ones: God of War, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, TimeSplitters, Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero, Ratchet and Clank, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando all for under $50!! TimeSplitters $4, R and C $10, God of War $15, MGS3 $15, TXRZ $4, and Going Commando $4. Okay, it's more like $52 but it's still really damn cheap! GameCrazy FTW!!!

Waaaait, I didn't get the memo about God of War getting ported.
i recently bought psychonauts and call of cthulhu: dark corners of the earth, both were pocketchange, and so far both have been excellent - airborne (which cost as much as both games twice over)is sitting on my desk, lonely and unloved, wondering if someone will maybe play it tonight...
I remember getting The Elder Scrolls 3 GOTY Editon for $10 bucks at a Fry's Sale and I had not played any of them yet because my computer was not powerful enough at the time to run it. That was by far the best value I've ever gotten for $10 dollars. I still play it to this day and and havent touched everything in Morrowind, Tribunal, nor Bloodmoon, not to mention the tons of mods I've instaleld like Wizards Island. Geez....Im addicted that game.
Beyond Good and Evil got a price drop to $20 a few months after release. Now that was a happy purchase for me :) :)
I recently picked up a new copy of Septera Core from the Amazon.com marketplace after accidently trashing my original CD, for $3.96 brand new. It ran $.01 for the game and $3.95 for the the shipping.
I got Monopoly AND Rollar Coaster Tycoon FREE when I bought a box of Cheerios!!! Spent hours playing monopoly and rollar coaster tycoon while eating cheerios. :D
Well i wish i could experiance the joy of cheapness my country burns out my wallet ... like Unreal-2004 costs 40$ ... what a load of crap ! so i have to order online and i mostly save more than half the price.
Yeah the PC is great for cheap games but the hardware tends to be a little pricey; which is the complete opposite to console gaming where the games are expensive and the hardware is relatively cheap.

True the PS3 isn't cheap, but relative to a PC - a decent games PC doing similar things costs way more than a PS3
