what was the last part of a game that left you stunned? mine was the club scene in Kane and Lynch. Imo that game is simply amazing.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2 - the fact that this expansion had such a great mix of gameplay and set pieces that it put many supposedly 'full' retail games to shame. Dog vs Strider FTW. :)
Half-Life 2 wasn't particularly short. I couldn't imagine, especially at the time of the game's release, being disappointed.Half Life 2, I was just like"WOW, that's it? :?". Thankfully we got Episode 1. :)

Probably in COD4 once the helicopter you're in goes into a downward spiral and the dude near the door flys out, I just said "Wow"

I just finished Episode 2 a few hours ago for the first time. And its even cliffier, maybe the cliffiest cliff hanger since crysis or Halo 2.
Spolier: Gordon still doesn't get with Alex... WTF gordon! Shes begging for it, Get it already!
Oh yea  I see what you mean.[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"]

Not the length, the cliffhanger ending :lol:Meejoe27

Not sure what my last one was, but here's some of my favorites:
At the end of the first F.E.A.R., when you escape to the surface only to find that the whole place blows up and the shockwave is coming your way... My eyes opened wide and I frantically tried to find a way to escape, only to realize that there was no escape. I watched in horror as the blast overcame me. Biggest holy sh*t moment I can remember in gaming.
Someone already mentioned this, but in the CoD4 level Shock and Awe, when you're in the chopper and that nuke goes off, man, that was intense. Same as with the F.E.A.R. one, I just kinda watched in horror as I couldn't do anything to stop it. The last level you play as the marine was also great, where you get to crawl across the ruined landscape for about 20 seconds before you fall over and die.
In Knights of the Old Republic, when you finally discover who you really are, and it shows all the clips of things people had said previously in the game that hinted at it. That was a huge moment remembering all that had happened and feeling like a dumbass for not figuring it out sooner.
There are many others that I can't think of right now (or can't remember), too, so I'll just leave it at that.
PC
Crysis....I was like WOW im lagging, jk 23-90fps.
before that
Bioshock.....Wow awsome story, what is this a movie? And great atmosphere
Console
Mario Galaxy.....the cutscene where bowser invades, the one where they go to the center of the universe, and the one where mario saves peach
Gears of War 2.....wow these is extremely dark and way gruesome than the last part (especially the part with Maria).
a couple minutes ago I get them alot...specially in multiplayer...almost everytime I get on something I say WOW at least once...like earlier this morning I was playing CoH fighting some brits off at center on McGechaens and then the american flanked me killed my ACs turned my Panzer Grens around with Mp44s and destroyed 4 of his riflemen squads and an engie crew...it was great they quit soon after...
last one, probably Mass Effect (spoilers). At the very end, with the dramatic music when everyone thinks you're dead. Then all of a sudden you bust out of the wreckage and jump on a pedestal-like piece of debris, with one knee up and staring off into the distance (the Captain Morgan pose), sun behind you and epic music blasting....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I melted.
The CoD4 nuke blast was also sweet (and a bunch of other moments in that game). Bioshock had some wow moments, and I must have said wow at some point during GTA4.
finishing mass effect, this game has imo is the greatest storyline in gaming (although many will disagree with me)
when u run up a wall for the first time in prototype
getting to the space stage for the first time in spore
Medal of honor AA, the normandy invasion. I've never felt like that about a game ever since.
Also, I thought to myself "WOW, £25 for this s*it" after playing kane & lynch.
After I finished yet another Baldur's Gate 2 playthrough a couple of days ago I was: "WOW such a beautiful game, no sequel and soon forgotten". How I wish Interplay never closed down.
Not my last one, but crysis were you come out the cave and what was a small covert operation is now a full scale war.
My last one was last night in Neverwinter Nights 2. I was in the bandit camp and I'd just freed the refugees and suddenly we got jumped by like 20 bandits. Well, my companions and I fought off a great number of them, but then they killed my party and I'm just a sorceror with a dagger, so I kept running around trying to put enough distance between myself and the main bandit guy who was chasing me so I could cast a spell. Well, he hits me, and I have 2 hitpoints left. If he hits me again, I'm done and it's game over. Suddenly, as I run by the remaining refugees, one of them steps out and punches the bandit in the back and crits for 18 damage and kills him. So, basically my whole party got saved by some level 0 peasant with a killer left hook.
When I saw all the cool stuff in the latest Team Fortress 2 update.
Before that, it was in Crysis, after installing the CCC 2.21 mod. When I saw the sun rising over the first enemy camp near the start... wow. Beautiful.
October 9, 2007 Launch day for The Orange Box. Team Fortress 2 was visually and from a gameplay perspective marvelous, in addition, Half-Life Episode 2 while short was very satisfying with a great cliffhanger at the very end to create close emotions to the characters.
Call of Duty World at War on mp yesterday I was using arisaka + bayonet + camo + dead silence + special nades tabun gas, and I was number one on my team and i never fired a shot. BANZAI!
Also in Medieval 2 Total War kingdoms playing as the Egyptians with Salah al-Din being trapped by an army 4x the size of mine and defeating them and promptly taking Jerusalem
