The next big thing...

What is the next 'big' game that you think will flop?

We've had a couple recently if reviews are anything to go by.

I dunno if ill call this a big game but NFS undercover **** all the rest flopped since most wanted...and oh diablo 3niccodemus

D3 won't be a fail financially - every man and his dog is going to buy that game. Thats twice as many copies. Can you imagine having to folk out for your woofer as well? What about when you want to take him for a walk? "You'll walk me later buddy, just one more dungeon to go..."

By flop i guess you talking SW rules? Spore was NOT a flop imo, 8 is a great score and its selling very very well.

Clear Skies on the other hand? Well i enjoyed it but stopped playing as it was just too hard for me. I agree with the 7 GS gave it. Very disapointed.

I hope WAR can return some pride to the PC camp, i predict a good score of 8-9.

not me and my cat. but yes, D3 won't fail, no matter how you define failure, except for probably the irrelvant discussion of CRPG definitions.

Maybe it wont flop major but it also wont get over an 8.5 Diciples 3 will prolly get a better rating than that but i think both games will suck and imo spore shoulda got a 6.5

Well I haven't played Spore so its hard to comment but those are critics scores and many of us were predicting 9s, 9.5, GOTY etc. A lot of people have complained about the lack of depth. I'm going to check what the players rating is here on GS.

Diablo battle chest is still selling, and up there with Sims2 and WoW variations all the time; battlenet is still active like crazy. when a game is popular and long lasting like this, review rating and individual gamer's sentiment is irrelvant. I don't diablo while gaming, but it's among the most successful PC game franchise ever. even if it somehow gets a 6 rating (which will not happen) cross board, D3 will still be extremely popular to the point that review ratings are irrelvant, be they *professional* or user.

I agree the old ones were popular but because its still selling doesnt mean its the best game ever lots of games still sell I buy old games a lot just because... whatever maybe it wont lose its regular fan base but i can say the minor graphic enchancements and so forth its gonna be like the old one i can see it now well maybe ill be wrong like i said halo had a steady fan base but that game was actually only ok it wasnt good it was like 1 and 2 i can name many more games that are like the original just modded up a bit and to me makes the game suck

That game has come to mind recently. I want that to be good. Its the next thing from a Max Payne sequel. But this development time - as with BIA: HH - has been ridiculous and the fact they aren't even showing anything is concerning.

mm...it has potential since it's Vista exclusive. it'd take almost all vista gamers to buy it to be a moderately decent seller.
