[QUOTE="kozzy1234"][QUOTE="Dante2710"] engineer needing an update since appereantly after the spy update the engineers have become useless, and about giving an update to two overpowered classes (soldier and demo)Penguin_dragon
LIES, complete lies... Engies are still very very usefull. If an engie can get a pyro guarding his sentry and stuff with him they are very powerful.
Dont underestimate the power of the engie :P
As a mainly spy player, I can say with great confidence that engineers are weak. A good spy with the right timing can kill an engie and all his toys before anyone even sees him. Though a pyro spamming is certainly a good deterrent, unless he STAYS there for the whole game, a spy with Cloak & Dagger can just wait him out till the pyro leaves.I donno, I see tons of engies at the top of the scoreboard when im playing tf2 bud. I think your right if they are an average or bad engie, but if you have a great or good engie and a friend helping him out, they are one of the most effective classes.
Its definatly harder since hte spy update, but if you work at it you can still be a very effective Engie these days.
As mostly a Medic and Engie I get killed mostly by Scout, Spy and Demoman, and the first week or two after the spy update It was hard, but I ended up making adjustments to the new spy stuff and am still very effective with engie when I need to be. not many spies sneak up behind me anymore because after I get my sentry up I just use melee non stop when people besides my pyro come near my stuff. And if they are invisible, im still using melee all around my stuff to repair and then tons of the time randomly near my stuff incase of spies.
TF2 is a very balanced game imo, if something is going wrong for you, then you need to adapt to the situation at hand and figure it out.
I honestly find spies get me more when im medic then when im engie.
