The no1. reason to be a pc gamer -
Piracy aka free games
lol joking
and no not all games come out on pc. Think fighting games, rpg/adventure games (tho pcs have their exclusives) etc. etc. in addition for the games that do make it to pc: when they finally do port it to pc about 12 months late its a piece of barely workable junkanyway
Oh well i still love my pc
Hmm 1 better graphics than consoles
2 keyboard & mouse
3 Everything else you can do in pc.. (movies)
4 mods & maps
5 rpgs strategy.. mmos
6 oveclocking :)
7 the true masterpieces are only on pc
8 internet and browsing while you play a game, so if you get stucked.. ALT+ TAB and you check for a walkthough
9 requires intelligence when you play a game :)
10 To get a console game and and turn in into a pc game ans shove it to Rockstar's ass and show them how its done! (Silent hill 1 for pc. working on vista and dual core or quad core pcs and newer video cards....Plus a menu, with graphics settings and control settings or a quicksave options :) Made my some pc gamers, in a full working exe and install from the original psx version.....WHEN THE IDIOTS IN ROCKSTAR DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE A PORT RIGHT :(
ok think, every time they have come out with a game, its for the next gen console, but what has it always(except, so far, in the case of Gears 2) come out on? PC. all these awesome games from the last ten years have always been on computer!! So, instead of going out and spending 500 dollars on a system that is obsolete 2 months later, plus spending money on games, you get a computer, and save tons of cash on buying those sweet games you all love for computer!HaloNerd8
Brain....hurt......:o

That happen to me too but i read it again and i understand it!ok think, every time they have come out with a game, its for the next gen console, but what has it always(except, so far, in the case of Gears 2) come out on? This is the pc and mac games forum after all. A console is not 500 dollars - it is 200-400 max. A gaming computer is easily 500+ dollars. Many families have a pc for emails and internet but dont have this kind of spare cash for games - and i doubt you did when you were 8 yrs old. PC gaming is better, but its expensive and difficult for some. Consoles bring gaming to the masses. 'Eating out in fancy restaurants is better because you get all the food and its better. Why not just sell your refridgerator and cooker and dont buy from supermarkets. you will save money' PC gaming is a luxury.
The PC is a multi purpose tool.
It also has far superior apps, scalable graphics, better screen resolutions and still destroy any console in online play/capability.
Consoles are great because their cheap and are completely plug and play and require 0 know how and dont consistantly require driver & window updates.
Consoles are also great for when you have friends over and wanna play on the big screen.
In my personal opinion PC destroys consoles in the FPS and RTS (and dont forget MMORPGS) departments while Consoles are more suited for racing, fighting and sports games.
At the end of the day both PCs and Consoles can produce fun and enjoyable gaming experiences. It all depends what your looking for and what your budget is.
There are not many traditional rpgs on consoles that arn't also on PC. Adventure games? Thats a PC genre, unless you meant platform... and platformers are even a dying breed on consoles. The no1. reason to be a pc gamer -

But if we're also considering the amount focus on the pc with respects to retail gaming:
Probably 30% of games are relased simultaneously on both pc and consoles BUT the development is focused on consoles
30% of games are released on console then we get some shotty port everyone hates
30% of games dont make it to pc ever
10% or less are pc exlusives (usually blizzard+ valve+ sum of mmorpg/fps (niche)(which is like 1 or 2)/ rts)
I agree with brother MondeEdlu here and i would like to add..WE NEED MORE PC EXCLUSIVES DAMN IT!But if we're also considering the amount focus on the pc with respects to retail gaming:

How about a good rig to run Crysis to even look like Far Cry 2 on the 360 would cost you know likw $1300! Than is you want it to look how EA wanted it to it would cost you up near $2300! What you said about a console being obsolete after 2 moths is so untrue and a total LIE! That fact is as soon as you take your PC out of hte store it is allready OUT DATED!! PC's always need upgrades that can costs hundereds of $$$ and than you need to upgrade again in a year! While with a console you buy the system keep it for 4years trade it in and by the next one! Your facts are totaly off and you should think about things before you post them!! (Sry for any spelling errors there is no spell check...)

system war thread. if there's any need to justify to be a PC gamer, there's no need of the mentioning of comsoles and their so-called exclusive titles.
