I love the splinter cell series, LOVE em. Even Concivtion was awesome. But this is pile of crap, what is it anyway, sequel, reeboot? And mainly, why the hell is there no Michael Ironside!
Seriously, Ironside IS sam Fisher, he has been for the past 5 games, so why the need to change him? It wasn't as if his performances were decilining :(
I was waiting patiently for word on this game and in 2 mins lost all interest.
Oh and by the way, you think maybe Naughty Dog should Sue Lucasarts for blatantly ripping off Uncharted with that 1313 nonsense?
PIGNIN
I kind of agree.
Though I actually loved Conviction unlike a lot of people, I think that with the new voice actor and complete change of Sam, the series is no longer really Splinter Cell. I'm not against action, but they've completely changing the point of the series, and it literally doesn't make sense to change the actor AND make him younger for no damn reason.
I mean, how would Max Payne be if McCaffrey wasn't the voice actor? It wouldn't be the same, and there's a reason everyone is pissed David Bateson isn't Agent 47 anymore.
At the very least they could have at least actually given us a new character, and it would have made more sense. Give us a young new character voiced by someone else, and Fisher who is old as hell could have been a mentor or played a cameo, but instead they give us this Sam Fisher wannabe and tell us its him.
I don't normally get this worked up over something like this, but when a voice actor is so amazing at his job, its hard to feel anything but bad when they essentially take away the heart and soul of the character. Its like if Nolan North was the new voice of Max Payne and they also for some reason made him de age.
