Man team fortress is boss. The only team fortress mode I like is capture the flag. Basically, there are two bases, the red and the blue. So you pick a team, then pick a class. The classes are Scout, Sniper, Soldier, Medic, Pyro, Demo-man, Heavy-Weapons Guy, Engineer, and Spy. So in a nutshell all classes have thier strength and weaknesses. My favorite classes are Engineer, Sniper, Spy, and Pyro. So after you pick your class you spawn and start playing. Each team attacks each others base and tries to steal a briefcase of intelligence. So it's capture the flag plain and simple, the intel being the flag. It's really a great game because it's very competetive and fun. The action is fast, controls are fluid, and the graphics are smooth. It's an easy game to learn and some of the classes are just awesome. For example, as a spy I can switch to cloak mode and become invisible. Then I disguise myself as a enemy sniper. I sneak into the enemy base and using cloak and stealth, make my way to the battlements. I then uncloak and run around pretending to be a sniper. The real enemy snipers fall for the bait and before they know it,I back stab them all with my spy-knife. It's really quite satisfying messing with people while your a spy. Each class has it's own fun and unique power or move. The counter to the spy is the pyro who can run around with a flamethrower and burn the spies while thier cloaked or disguised.
The more you play you unlock achievements and better weapons and your stats get recorded. It's overall an awesome game that is a remake of it's predecessor titled Team Fortress Classic. Tf2 is awesome in every single way and is probably one of the most solid online action games that I have in my collection. You'll probably like it. It's also funny because it has cartoon graphics that look childish but it also has blood and guts and heavy violence.
