I bought this at a fair for 6$ which is really cheap considering this came out only in december and wow its a pretty fun game. It sets this tone that makes you just want to mess with some nazis; even the main character's running animation when he runs away form a explosive he just set makes it feel so hoodlum like. Also the noir tone for occupied areas of Paris is awesome. It seems the game got lost in the GTAs and Assasins creeds.

Anybody else enjoy the game?

Haven't played it but the whole BLACK AND WHITE things sort of puts me off. Still, remember you paid $6 for it.... would you still consider it underrated if you had paid full price?

I think perception of games really depends on the price one paid for it. For example, a lot of people hated Borderlands, especially in SP, but I'm enjoying it immensely since getting it for only 10 bucks off Steam. I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if I paid full priced for it.

I finally picked up it too last night. I wanted this game since the previews, I knew it was going to be good and it seems that way. I played for an hour, lotta dialogue cutscenes seems to be story-driven. Also the black and white to color scheme is awesome, loved the atmosphere, thats all I can say judging by it.

Great game. It was a little rough around the edges but very fun. I bought it off ebay, then the NEXT day the price dropped by like 20 dollars new at stores.. and I still enjoyed it :)

I don't buy the whole "I enjoyed it because of the price" argument at all. Granted there are games I just look at and say "I wouldn't buy that at full price", but that is usually because I feel it is overpriced anyway. I'll pay 50 buck for CIV 5 but may wait a year to buy Starcraft II. Reason is CIV is more my type of game although I do like some RTS games. The point though is that a good game is a good game regardless of price. Haven't you played a game you got on the cheap and surprisingly enjoyed it it, thinking "I would have paid more for it". An example for me would be "Silent Storm" which is actually my favorite game ever - paid a nickel for it but would paid 50 if I'd known. Conversely, I bought games for the heck of it like "Bioshock" for $5 - hated it. The fact I spent basically nothing on a top game did nothing to make me like the game more. Spending $5 instead of the $50 I spend on Ass Creed 1 would not make me like it even more - I simply will never finish that suckfest not will I buy AC II.

I will say that paying very little for a game that you surprisingly enjoy a lot is a wonderful feeling though.

In regards to the OP, I may check out Saboteur. I recall when it came out and it did look interesting.

What I meant was that some games you really enjoy cause you also got them at cheaper price. I absolutely loved Plants vs Zombies, got it on special at $10AU, but I would never buy it at something like $99....

It only seems so great and seem like it's worth $20 because you paid $6 for it.

I'm not sure about this purely because it is an open world-game by Pandemic, and the only other open world-game by Pandemic I've played, Mercenaries, was pretty damn bad.

Not really a valid argument, but you know how these things work.

Mercenaries was absolutely fantastic! Mercenaries 2 on the other hand, well heh, point taken.

I paid full price for it when it first came out ($39.99). Don't have any regrets whatsoever. I too think it's an under-rated game. Sunk quite a few hours into it and still playing because I'm one of those that has to complete 100% of the game.

No, I paid like 30 (plus shipping) for it, the next day it dropped to like 20.

The Saboteur is a good game, the black&white setting is very unique and nostalgic. The gameplay is also great, but the story conclusion is not wrapped up good enough

I thought Mercenaries was a bland game with a total lack of atmosphere, but to each his own I guess.

Well I actually love the atmosphere of Saboteur in fact I would say this is the first time Pandemic has nailed the atmosphere. I hated Mercenaries 1 too for the same reasons.

I just recently picked up the game from a nearby Gamestop (there are literally 20+ in surrounding area I live in, so finding one of these stores is pretty simple) for $8.99. That's pretty much the only reason I tend to frequent a few of these Gamestop stores, just to check on PC games. I've picked up a lot of games from these stores for under $10. Here's a few: Gothic II Gothic III Forsaken Gods (Gothic III stand alone expansion)* Saboteur* Turok Rainbow Six Rainbow Six 2 TimeShift* Kane & Lynch: Dead Men* Majesty 2* Advent Rising (was my second copy, my little brother lost my first) Those are just the games that I can see from looking at my game collection on my desk. Any games tagged with a * are ones that I haven't even gotten around to opening and playing yet. I heard that Saboteur was an alright game and I was looking to buying a copy since it came out, but I'm a cheap gamer so I never picked it up until I came across a copy of it at GameStop last week. I'll find time here soon to play it.

I'd give that game a 7.0, honestly, it's not bad, free roaming destroying nazi equipment is one of the game's highligts.

Really?! I thought the first really captured the atmosphere of the North Korean warzone (both maps included), and there was some good enough open world scripting to make the environment seem lively and active. Still true, true, each to their own.

This game is VERY underrated, theres a simple mod for PC that removes the black+white thing coz that was the only thing that ruined it for me

It was a good game, the only issue being the pretty abysmal port-job that left it being really buggy on PC, and barely working (infact at launch it didn't work at ALL) on ATI cards.

I liked that piece of art. Occupied territory - black & white, liberated - colorful. That's some original idea.

I wish there was a strong enough comunity for this game so that there would be some unoffical patches that could fix the various bugs. I played it on PS3 and loved it. I would very much like to play it on pc. I'm not like you guys though, i can't find it for that cheap. I'm not willing to buy a game only to find that i can't even run it properly. I have an ATI card too.

It's a very decent game indeed. But one thing I found funny was that you can climb every obstacle/building. So I guess this is what Assassin's Creed would be like if they set the Animus Memories to WW2 :P

Below average. A hodge-podge of badly implemented ideas ripped off from a lot of much better games.

thanks for trying to troll me.... it didnt work though. especially once you said it is among the best.....the game is well below average.
