The Sims 2 Cheats Problems

hey everyone I have the Sims 2 installed on my PC all the expansions including Univeristy, Nightlife, Open for Business and Pets and all the stuff packs including holiday party pack, family fun stuff and glamour life back are installed.

but when i press ctrl+shift+c....the blank that appears for us to enter the cheat DOES NOT appear

what could be the problem?

They took the ability to call up that console away (i believe) in one of the expansions. If you wanna cheat the game in a specific way you're gonna have to go lookin' for a cheat to download. Just check the "cheats/fixes" sections of different game sites and modthesims2 dot com.

You can try gameburnword, IGN, here on gamespot just to name a few.

I have all of the expansion ('cept Seasons, I'm picking that up) and the cheat line comes up just fine for me.  They didn't disable it.  They wouldn't, I can tell you that.  The game is used for so much more than playing.  People use it to film and make stories, they just go in to build houses with all kinds of fancy tricks, they experiment with it.  All of these things require the cheat console, it's not going away.

As to the original problem, you might get better results checking out the tech support forum on the community part of www.sims2.com.  You may even be able to run a search and find someone who had and fixed this exact problem.  I've never heard about it, but I don't follow that forum at all.

I read everything you guys typed, and I don't understand anything that you said.

After all, I'm not the greatest computer wizard in the world. That's for the founder of Apple.

I'm having the same problem, though, with the cheat box not popping up when I press ctrl+shift+c.

So please put how to fix the problem in stupid terms for me. :]]

And if you absolutely, positively, NEED to know what kind of computer I have, its an HP Pavillion dv5 notebook. :]]]

I have exactly the same problem, with exactly the same computer..
Can someone please tell me what to do, I dont have cursor XP and i dont know what to do:S
