Get only 8 GB ram and save some cash and you want to go dual channel since 12 implies triple channel memory, there are the same exact version of memory with 8Gb , although for gaming 4 is plentifull, the reason is that sandy bridge goes on dual channel memory 8)

if you're purely using this build for gaming the 2500k will be fine for you, it will save you $100. Your mobo is good but I wouldn't buy any more than 4GB of ram, as its pointless really.

Also check out this version of the 6950http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125356its $300 and it has a $20 mail in rebate AND it comes with a free gaming mouse
