So I couldnt help but spend $25 to buy it today on Steam. I am worried about the gameplay and story though. I guess its episodic content so I probably just spent $25 on like a hour or 2s worth of content until episode 2 is released god knows when. So yea, thoughts about it? Official GS Walking Dead pc game thread gogogo.

I'm getting it. I hope it's more than 2 hours. I wouldn't mind if it was like 4 hours, but that might be pushing it. :P I'm a huge fan so it's a no brainer.

So im about 30 min in and its moving very fast. Not a huge fan of the graphic style. The voicework is kind of shoddy, breaking up at times, but its pretty much a glorified adventure game. The interaction with characters seems interesting. I'll have to replay and choose different choices to see how it turns out. I do not like that you get like 3-5 seconds to pick a choice. Some of the choices are long and you dont have time to read through them.

I'm waiting for more episodes, then I might consider, I sure hope it's not like the comic or show tho, since the comic is getting stale (the same scenario over and over and over and over again, they find safe house, Rick gets to be the new leader, more join them, former leader is a cool guy, somebody opposes them, former leader gets into trouble/dies, hell breaks loose, most of them die, repeat, repeat, repeat...*button broke*) and while the first season of the show was enjoyable (mostly got me because they managed to make an atmosphere similar to Zombieland only serious), but it's an abomination, the director is terrible (getting fired isn't an excuse for the evolution, he finished s2 before that), budget is lower and lower, they made the worst possible choices when they altered the original story, they made a whole season over a friggin kid (that btw, I am disgusted by the kids in this show and they're not to blame, the people that wrote the script are, they made the kids and story like they're some kind of mindless husks doing the most idiotic nonsense you can imagine), the way they forced "Rick" to exaggerate with his accent to make him stand out and his head movement (when in fact, it simply tuned him into an idiotic redneck), all the nonsense that happened in the last invasion of S2 (99.9% of that **** made no sense whatsoever)...simply horrible, the series deserves a big fat 0 for a general rating, they won't ever get enough viewers to make a season 4, not to mention 10 or more which is the number of seasons required, at this rate, to catch the comic. I need some fresh air...absolutely sickening (literally) thinking of the way the kids were made to act and how disgusting and annoying they made Lori (even more than the comic), thank God she *spoiler* in the comic, it was one of the best moments of Walking Dead, that and when Carl got *spoiler* in the right side of *spoiler*, but it was also sad because he still...*spoiler*.

Pretty much agree on almost all points, Daniel. The show was different and fresh at the start but definitely some glaring flaws. Season 1 was good. Season 2 made me mad as you said because it was kid hunt-a-thon.

I agree as well season 1 was awesome, but season 2 was boring. Hopefully now that their out of the farm it might get a little more exciting.

So it has the Alpha Protocol dialogue approach (limited time to answer, usually under 3-5 seconds). I thought that was a neat idea in Alpha Protocol but I'll have to see how it all works out in The Walking Dead. It might provide for some really intense decision making moments. Did you finish it already? How long is the game?

I disagree. I liked Season 2 a lot, but not as much as Season 1 though. But my favorite was the first episode of Season 1. I'll never forget it.

Not bad for $25, for a Walking Dead fan. :) I'll bite the bullet on this one.

I spent 25 as well and seriously if what i bought isent every single episode i am going to kill Telltale, 30mins of gameplay which wasn´t even that much gameplay as much as talk and then click to do a predetermined action. Its a good story but darn Telltale are taking its customers for muppets with the price tag.

How can it take you 2 hours? do you run around and do nothing just looking at the walkers? 30mins in and the game was done and Welcome to episode 2 in a few months

I usually don't like adventure games. But i like the faster pace of this one.

The tvshow imo went to crap quickly in season two. And the comic book i loved until around issue 50 when i really dislike the way he takes the story

Seriously? If you're not bs'ing that's bad, even for The Walking Dead. I love the show... but the game being under 2 hours is not cool. There are FIVE episodes, priced at $25 each equals $125 total. That much to play 5-10 hours across 5 episodes is not a good thing.

You buy the whole season up front. It's $25 for all five episodes, not $25 a piece.

I just finished it. It took me about 2.5 hours. It was a great piece of interactive entertainment, especially for Walking Dead fans. I cant wait to see how all my decisions work out over the course of the game.

I just finished episode one took a little over 2hrs. I did not rush through it and replayed a few parts to check out the different choices. Sorry it only lasted 30 minutes for you. I would regret spending money if it was that short.

Ahh ok! Terribly misinformed and I do apologize. Excellent deal then...!
