How come there aren't that many mods for this game so far? Looks like it could be just as popular as Skyrim for mods, but I haven't seen any yet. Also, kinda off topic but who thinks they should make The Witcher 4 or an add on where you can play as Ciri as the main character? Those abilities you can use to teleport behind an enemy or attack more than one enemy at a time is pretty awesome.

@FelipeInside: yea I already seen that I mean like finishers, weapon mods, armor mods, sign mods, arrow mods, and building mods. Would be nice to store your equipment somewhere so you don't have to carry it around or buy it back.

Ahh I see.

Well, it could be either that the engine limits what mods you can create, or that people are creating them as we speak :)

Game has only been out a few weeks.

@FelipeInside: True. Hopefully, the engine doesn't limit what mods you can create. Would be nice to see some better looking armor and weapons in the game though, and add a way you can reset your skill points.

The game is still new. Mods take time. The game is massive and there isn't much wrong with it. Most mods that come out quick are usually there to fix shortcomings.

Some of the stuff you are asking for is already in the game. You can store loot by dropping it in an area that you frequent. Also, you can reset your skills at a merchant in Novigrad. He sells you a potion for 1000 coins that does this.

The game doesn't support conventional modding, and the so called mods seem mostly cheat oriented.

Cheat mods are meaningless

I want stuff that adds new content.

So far the developer seems to be supporting the game weekly. I think thats pretty awesome, but I really don't mess with mods much.

that isnt true at all, the game fully supports total conversion modding.... we just have to wait for the redkit to release.

So the 200+ hour game, the 16 FREE DLCs and the 2 massive incoming expansion packs isn't enough for you....?

@BassMan: Thanks for the tips. Do you happen to know which merchant in Novigrad it is that sells you that potion to reset your skills?

Skyrim eventually had a developers kit released to people which really opened up ways to mod the game in almost any way. Its too bad witcher 3 developers don't do this... people would add so much content and random stuff to this game if they did. I never followed witcher 2 at all because i quit the game really quickly after i started playing it so i have no idea if there were mods in that game or how far they went.

I been liking this game decent enough, but one thing that is bugging me the world isn't seemless like skyrim. Its small areas with invisible walls everywhere which really breaks the immersion.

The answer to your question is the REDkit is not released yet for witcher 3. When it is, we will see more complex mods being released.
