Do these really annoy you?

I don't like diablo style battle as I've mentioned before but the Witcher grew on me in the 30 mins I decided originally to give it. There is enough humour, storyline, diversion etc to hook me in.

But... The hand gestures seem so out of place and add a few more seconds waiting time onto the repeated cutscenes (ie: after fighting each fistfighter or after NPCs finish talking). One minute my strong but silent, gorgeously buff, merciless macho witcher is bashing the blood from his opponents mangled bodies and the next... he's making foppish little hand gestures like a drag-queen. Is this just me?

I think it's just you. I take it you played the Witcher already (without enhanced edition) and you're probably not used to it.

Foppish little hand gestures? You mean when he messes with his hair as though he's trying to keep it away from his face? That's something anyone with really long hair does, men included. I know from experience.
