I loved The Witcher but couldn't get into NWN2. Of course that was pre patches when it first came out and it had problems. Those have sense been fixed. I would get both but if you can't get The Witcher.
The Witcher for a one time play, but if your in the mood for a game to complete a couple of times NWN2 with its expansions. As for King's Bounty if you like Heroes of Might and Magic series you will like it.
While I prefer NWN 2 : MotB, I would recommend Witcher as it is simpler to get into. Is there anything in particular you are looking for in the games ?
If you get NWN2 with at least Mask of the Betrayer as well.. Make sure to get Kaedrin's pack, it does numerous beneficial fixes and rebalances to NWN2.. As well as add a ton of new spells, feats, and classes.
NWN2 is a lot better imo but I'd recommend The Witcher since it's easier to get into and has, how would I put it, less outdated feel to it. But if you want a game with a party system, lot of classes, feats, items etc. to customize you character then NWN2 is the way to go.
Based on all the recommendations, I went for The Witcher (Enhanced Edition of course)! I'm installing it right now... I may also soon buy NWN2 gold since it's only 29.99 at ebgames. I also loved the first one...

if you are getting NWN 2, definitely get the expansion Mask of Betrayer
I'll make it 101 - The Witcher. Honestly, if anyone watched the intro vid when first booting up the game, I don't see how any other game could compete. Ok so I can see how other games could compete, but why would they?
If you making a choice between The Witcher and vanilla NWN2 than I would recommend The Witcher. However in my personal opinion Neverwinter 2 with both expansions and fully patched offers a diverse and more longterm gaming experience. And mask of the betrayer is a must play.
