I've got both, and I'd have to say The Witcher by a fair bit. Sacred 2 just gets boring after a while, you have to travel huge distances to do quests, so there's a lot of back tracking. A lot. And there's also a huge number of quests (500+ I think the back of the box says). That's not necessarily a bad thing, but like I said, there's a ton of back tracking and that makes it all really tedious. It's not a bad game by any stretch, it just gets frustrating and boring at times. I still enjoyed it, but The Witcher is a far better game, great quests and main storyline, better graphics (if you care about that), a new (arguably) type of combat system that is far better than Sacred's even though both really boil down to clicking the left mouse button.

I am currently about half way though the Witcher. The story is amazing, the graphics are well done, and the combat is killer. I have not played Sacred so I cannot help there, but I have to say the Witcher is a worthy buy. Plus they have the enhanced version out there that adds about 5 more hours or so of new quests. Plus it comes with a game editor so if you are up to the task you can make new modules. If you want a solid mature rated action RPG that has many unique things going for it deffinately give the Witcher a try.

the witcher by far. sacred 2 isnt a bad game. its just very repetitive, and seems somewhat outdated at times.
