The thief series is excellent, and this is a great value bundle, but I can't help feeling it is still quite expensive given the games were released in 1998, 2000 and 2004. If you like stealth games then you owe it to yourself to play this series - just be warned that the graphics of the early games haven't aged well. Given the fan support these games have there is no doubt retexture and HD texture packs you can download to help with that. It is long overdue for Thief 4
Got a physical copy of it a while ago, gosh its amazing how well the first Thief aged though (from a gameplay centric point of view), strangely enough it feels so advanced compared to the stealth games you get today.
Never got to play the thief series, what were they like?

You are a Thief in the medieval age and you get missions that generally task you with stealing special things. The gameplay highly focuses on the use of shadows and a handful of other small things like the surface you walk on and the gadgets you use add layers upon layers of depth to the game, its also got amazing atmosphere with even a touch of supernatural elements thrown in.
Got the retail version about a year ago very good. There are some good mods for Thief 1&2 out there and Thief 3 despite being a last gen game still manages to look better than most games these days.
I hope people play these games and just appreciate what a pure stealth game used to look like. biggest_loser
Yep, the enviroment, stealth, sound of the surface (meaning rock, wood, dirt, iron) you're walking on and, of course - WATER ARROWS - that's what made the Thief franchise popular. Too bad nobody is doing something like that anymore ... I wish I could ask for HD release of the series, but we all know that won't happen -_-

Never have I felt so tense then sneaking around worrying about torches and other people hearing me.
Thief 3 still holds up pretty well in the graphics department even though its from 2004. There is a high res texture pack mod to install to help with that also. Thief 3 was one of my favourite games from the 2004-era even though some old school thief purists dont like it. I played it a lot.
