Well 3gb of RAM is ok for a start. However the 8400GS is dire and will not play any modern games well, if at all. You desperately need a new GPU. Also, you don't specify what processor you have, 3ghz on it's own means nothing.

Ok, well I only have a Pentium 4 Processor, but I am looking into a new one. Any suggestions for that? And I am not a major gamer, but I will be upgrading the graphics card soon if there are any suggestions on that. I only have a PCI slot and a backwards PCI-e or what looks to be that. Not sure what to call it (it goes _____________ __, as for the slots that the connector will fit). Also my RAM will be upgraded by another 2GB soon as well.

Not to much. Probably at most 130 - 150 for the processor. If I can even get a good one for that price. Is this one any good? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4256897&Sku=CP1-DUO-E7400

there not very good 3 giga ram is a start if your pentium 4 is a 775 socket then ideally you could go to a pentium D or celeron dual core which would be a mild improvement. and then as for the gpu get an hd 4550 if your really tight on a budget for replacing it. but if you dont DEMAND to play titles like CoD4, arkham asylum and dow2 it will be fine.

9500GT 512MB for $45.00. This will be a decent improvement on your 8400.

3Gb of RAM seems to be more than enough if you are not a major gamer.

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHz for $120.

Hope this helps. :)

.

The only thing about the Graphics card is that I only have a PCI card slot and a PCI-e x1. So I was and am very limited with the picking of a graphics card.
