Ding Ding Ding. With Starcraft 2 maybe coming out by the end of the year, that is the earliest we could see it. I think that we will see it closer to Q4 of next year though.
They are still in development phase, which means they still need to A. finish making it, B. polish it up, and C. debug it so its playable. All they've shown us is a few classes and 20 minutes of game play which was most likely just a test level.

Not a chance, we have seen VERY little of D3 other than a FEW gameplay videos and not even all classes were showcased, I expect it to be released Q2-Q3 next year.
I don't think they'll release Diablo until they're done with Starcraft. So my guess is late 2011, if they release the second and third Starcrafts 8-10 months apart. I could totally see it in summer 2012 though. There are many games released 3-4 years after the announcement.
Im thinking it's going to hit sometime in 2011. Since Blizzard has broken StarCraft into three different games I've now lost all hopes of it coming in 2010.
In my opinion, the optimistic view would be Q4 2010, but realistically I'd guess that it will be mid 2011 sometime. Blizzard takes their time and makes sure they get it right; they won't rush at all.
I wish it would come out this year, but it's not possible. I'm going to say late 2010 at the earliest, but most likely mid 2011.
I was hoping that this year would be the year for Starcraft 2, but considering that Blizzard wants such a long beta testing it looking more and more like early 2010.
SC2 won't be out before Blizzcon this year, and Diablo 3 won't be out before Blizzcon next year. I doubt we will see D3 before 2011 - they are just so freaking slow. And we've yet to hear if they are going to pull another stunt like splitting SC into 3 games - how about 1 game for each character? that way they could charge us full price for each character *kaching*

Diablo 2 is probably going to have a release date of Q4 2010.....and then be delayed a little so be released Q1 2011. I'm wouldn't hold my breath on Starcraft 2 being released before early 2010 either.

Agreed. Plus, I think they like to push dates back. Then more people anticipate the game release and get eager. Remember Diablo II? It got delayed multiple times. By the time it finally came out I was so eager to get it, I got it the day it came out.
