They also said they would never release the original Gears of War on PC, but it still happened. I think it's very likely for GoW2 come to PC, but don't expect it anytime soon (Probably another year away or so).But they said they weren't going to release it because of piracy.

Nope, I read on the Gears forums that Gears 1 was a pain to port to PC so they WILL NOT be porting Gears 2.
A pain to port? Sounds more like a crappy dev. team to me. The PC port is very poor anyway. GFWL back then was god awful, Badly coded so you will get constant stutter and hiccups during gameplay. And the multiplayer had no dedicated servers so a lot of the games were just full of lag.Nope, I read on the Gears forums that Gears 1 was a pain to port to PC so they WILL NOT be porting Gears 2.

Link? I thought Gears of War sold poorly on PC because: 1. It was a poor port 2. Not much advertisement 3. It was sold ONLY in retail stores which was very dumb idea considering that DD is very popular. But they said they weren't going to release it because of piracy.

Already had been paid for and played by 99% of the people who wanted it.But they said they weren't going to release it because of piracy.

piracy is indeed a very convenient *cause* for tons of things in gaming industry.
anyway, the fact is that there hasn't been much elaborate effort in cracking the game since its release...PC pirates aren't that interested in this game either.
I wonder how many gamers, who are seriously hyped for (supposely) console exclusives such as GoW2 and Fable 2, don't own 360?
3. It was sold ONLY in retail stores which was very dumb idea considering that DD is very popular.JangoWuzHereThat's the big one, wasn't Epics fault though. They are selling their games on Steam now. 100% MS game studio issue, they refuse to use the man existing services to sell more games, they clearly don't want to sell games. There is no other reason for it.
[QUOTE="psn8214"]They also said they would never release the original Gears of War on PC, but it still happened. I think it's very likely for GoW2 come to PC, but don't expect it anytime soon (Probably another year away or so). Important distinction - they didn't say they were never going to release the first Gears of War for the PC. They used dodgy language like 'we're focusing on the 360,' or 'we didn't say we would.' When the GFW marketing material was released with the GOW PC box art, they said 'that was just a marketing test.' They were careful to avoid the issue without denying it, and it was pretty obvious. This time around, they actually came and flat-out said 'we aren't going to release it on the PC.'But they said they weren't going to release it because of piracy.

Think gears of war 2 gonna release in PC?redoverkingTo me it wont see the light of day, Gears of War is more of a console oriented game.
DX 11, 60 fps, most likely extra content Gears 2? Yes please.
The first game on PC was great (I have both PC and 360 versions), and I'd really like to see what Gears 2 can do when it's not held back.

GS doesn't think so:P
I'm not sure but I'm preety optimistic about this:)
I don't really think that Xbox 360 exclusives will be released in the near future, due to the ports released in the past that didn't sell as M$ had imagined it. I did enjoy a few of them though, maybe the only decent ones they've ported Fable and Gears.
so you really hope so? (looks at arma 2)[QUOTE="dakan45"][QUOTE="psn8214"]
I hope so...

I enjoy a variety of games, even Gears. I find that Arma, while a near flawless experience imo, lacks a good chainsaw... ;)
apart from bugs the only thing i dont like in arma 2 is how much the weapon shakes when you move slowly, if you cant hold a rilfe steady while moving slowly you dont belong in field ops.[QUOTE="psn8214"][QUOTE="dakan45"] so you really hope so? (looks at arma 2)dakan45
