So I just graduated yesterday, and there was much rejoicing. So in a little over 2 months I'm on my way to college, which means I can finally take advantage of some student discounts! YAY! So for these past two years I've been using a Toshiba Satellite L645D. It can run Left 4 Dead on low, for gaming, its weaker than I hoped it would be. I got it for about $420 in September of 2010, and it has treated me very well, I've absolutely loved everything about it except the battery, which is lasting about an hour now just web browsing and the like :P. So the specs for my current baby are 4GB of RAM,AMD Turion? II Dual-Core Mobile Processor P520, and anATI Mobility Radeon? HD 4250 graphics card. So considering how two years have passed, I'm looking for a substantial upgrade and I want to take advantage of some student discounts.
So after receiving some $$ from my family for graduating and some scholarships, I want to blow some money on a computer. My antivirus just expired, I'm getting notifications for my laptop battery and what not, so I figure now would be a good time to upgrade, although I could wait until August if there are some major benefits to doing so.
But today I ran across this:

A coupon and a discount let me pick up this monster for $877!
i7 core CPU
NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GT 630M Graphics with 1GB GDDR3 memory [HDMI, VGA] (I believe this is the cheapest card, its customizable)
8GB DDR3 RAM
15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1366x768)
750GB HDD
6 hour battery life
WOW!
So now I'm wondering, I understand computer specifications to a limited degree, what I don't understand is if something is going to get bottlenecked or if something else is genuinely wrong with this laptop. I found this laptop off of a review, and he mentioned that it was worth the extra $150 to upgrade to a 1080p screen, which is quite frankly too much over my budget (My budget was 800, 1000 is too much). So what do you guys think? Should I buy this one as soon as I can, should I wait until the end of the summer for any reason, or should I keep looking? If so, is there anything I should really be looking out for, like a 1080p screen or a certain type of card?
