Ok, I was looking at some upgrades to my system, but was wondering what kind of performance I would get with these parts. Here are the upgrade parts:

From Pentium D 2.8Ghz to

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.4GHz with MoBo combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.270892

From ATI Radeon HD 4670

Nvidia GTX 260 896MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127426

From 2GB DDR RAM to

4GB DDR2 800 RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122

Also, what would be a recommended power supply for this setup?

You would have to change your motherboard to change a Intel CPU toa AMD CPU. It must be compatable with a AMD prossesor.

EDIT: oops my bad didnt see the mobo part. I read to fast haha

I jumped from a similar performance setup to a X4 B50 3.3Ghz and a HD 4890 and the performance increase was worth every penny I went from playing games on medium quality with no AA to maxing out every game at 60+fps(excluding crysis). A 550w PSU would be more than enough Corsair/Pc power & cooling/OCZ and Be Quiet are my recommended brands mind you 600w PSU from the same companys dont cost much more so I would go for them since more power isnt going to do you any harm.

How about at 1360x768? I'm playing on my TV and that's the TV's highest resolution.

Mostly high setting at good frames.

Higher than that, On my 1680x1050 I play with everything on high with the rig in my Sig, with around 23-40 FPS depending.

it should come with all the fans you need for it. as for the case.. should be fine just in the event the gtx 260 doesnt fit jump to an hd 4870 just as good little slimmer.

I was actually thinking about getting a GTS 250 1GB instead because of $$$. Would that fit in the case better than a GTX 260?

bump (I don't like bumping but I really need an answer to my last question) Also a little off topic, but why do the AMD PII X4 965 BE's keep going up in price? Newegg just shot it up $50 a few days ago and amazon is selling it for $20 more than yesterday.

How about at 1360x768? That is fairly a low resolution & by far it is not a common resolution you will find a setting for in any games. But the upgrade will be nice over your current hardware. Your only going to see a boost in performance with your memory if you are running a 64bit OS. If you running 32bit your system will only use 3GB of the 4GB you are buying.

Supply & Demand The CPU's got a nice price cut a month ago. in that they are running short on currently supply. But with Christmas coming they will slow raise prices and than cut them again to make them attractive. its called retail 7 it is how it all works :)

Well, I really don't plan on getting a new monitor with the way the room is set up since my monitor's my HDTV (I don't want to have a TV directly over a PC monitor). And I didn't know about the 32-bit systems only using 3GB, looks like I'll be upgrading to Windows 7 and spending another $115 I didn't expect to spend... (sigh) Anyway to get that $30 Windows 7 deal or some other really good W7 deal without being a college student?
