Thinking about some PC upgrades, wondering performance...

Ok, I was looking at some upgrades to my system, but was wondering what kind of performance I would get with these parts. Here are the upgrade parts:

From Pentium D 2.8Ghz to

Also, what would be a recommended power supply for this setup?

You would have to change your motherboard to change a Intel CPU toa AMD CPU. It must be compatable with a AMD prossesor.

it should come with all the fans you need for it. as for the case.. should be fine just in the event the gtx 260 doesnt fit jump to an hd 4870 just as good little slimmer.

bump (I don't like bumping but I really need an answer to my last question) Also a little off topic, but why do the AMD PII X4 965 BE's keep going up in price? Newegg just shot it up $50 a few days ago and amazon is selling it for $20 more than yesterday.

How about at 1360x768? That is fairly a low resolution & by far it is not a common resolution you will find a setting for in any games. But the upgrade will be nice over your current hardware. Your only going to see a boost in performance with your memory if you are running a 64bit OS. If you running 32bit your system will only use 3GB of the 4GB you are buying.Sledge70
