Lol.. It's a beast card and a good price, no doubt. Â I just have to see what that 760 can do!

Hah I know. Just to put things in perspective 760 will obviously be watered down 770 in price/performance. The best case scenario would be $300 identical version of 670 likely with 2gb.
Even if thats the case the 7970+3gb competes with 680 and 770.
If that helps with your decision making!
I would had pull the trigger if it wasn't for ca tax, and a trip to sin city. I'm thinking of getting a cheap open-box 7950 for $240 and call it day, less mir/game coupons to deal with.
edit: yeah is not stock pcb I think. I'm not sure how well this thing can o/c.
Â
From what I've seen, the 7970 competes with the GTX 670 in terms of performance, and the 7970 GHZ Edition competes with the GTX 680/770. Â That might mean that the GTX 760 will be within a few percentage points of 7970 performance for less money. Â If it's close, I have to give the nod to Nvidia. Â I've had better luck with their products. Â I'm not hating on AMD-based cards, because I know they are good products. Â

I'm running a single 1080p display. Â I doubt the 3GB versus 2GB will be a big factor for me. Â Now if the GTX 760 is more than 5 or 6 percent slower than the 7970, I might have to go back to the red team. Â I'm actually already a bit disappointed with the published specs of the GTX 760. Â We already have a $300 GTX 660 Ti on the market that has the same number of cores as the GTX 670. Â They skimped on the memory subsystem of the 660 Ti. Â Now we get the 760, which has the full-fat GTX 670 memory subsystem, but they skimp on the cores and still plan to sell it for $300. Â Why can't we get a refined GTX 670 for $300? Â Is that too much to ask for, since this is a refresh cycle, but a new product generation? Â The GTX 770 is a refined GTX 680 with faster VRAM for less money than the 680. Â Why can't the GTX 760 be a refined GTX 670 (same number of cores) for less money? Â Unless this card pulls a rabbit out of it's ass, or is priced at $250-270, it may be disappointing. Â We shall see. Â
