thinking of getting a mobo with USB 3.0

soo its only been about 6 months i have this build. but i dont know what you call it i ju st love PCs so much that i just like building new rigs all teh time and having the urge of buying a new GPU every month...

anyways im thinking of getting a mobo or even a whole new build early next year that has USB 3.0 because its fast and im starting to see more and more USB HDD are using them. but is there anything i will need to know? like will a USB 3.0 affect anything with the GPU, CPU, RAM etc. i want to double check before i go out and buy a USB 3.0 mobo and then get F-ed for not having the right hard ware to go with it

as far as i know usb3 on amd boards is expensive.

I keep hearing about USB 3.0. Sure it's very fast, but I really don't think it's a feature that should count as a main reason for deciding which motherboard should be purchased. Aside from USB flash drives and external HDD, what else would anyone use a USB port for? Is there something I'm not aware of? When it comes to deciding which motherboard should be chosen, I use the following criteria in the following order:

1. Supported RAM frequencies

2. Number of lanes per PCI-E slot (It's ideal if all PCI-E 2.0 slots have the maximum of 16 lanes for optimum bandwith for Crossfire or SLI).

3. Everything else.

Forget USB 3.0 and use ESata. Similar speed and a bracket is a few dollars if you don't already have a port.

Its just as good in terms of transfer speeds as USB 3.0.
