since the game is only about 20bucks in my local gamestop i've been wondering if i should get it or not so i have couple of questions.

1. does the game have worldmap like oblivion where u can travel to and do side quests and such?

2. since its a RPG how is the gameplay? is it similar to something like oblivion or more like morrowind where it is stats based?

3. and finally how long is the main quest?

thanks a lot

WHOA WHOA WHOA NOW! Fable is nothing like Oblivion.....the world is alot smaller, and is split up into sections. Gameplay is awesome! It is a stat-based game from my memory at least...it's been a while since I've played it. It's a VERY short game I'd say around 8-10 hours.....I know this sounds negative about the game, but it's very fun!

It hassome sidequests, but the world is so much smaller, and broken up, that its nothing like Oblivion. Pretty sure itsstat based. And, id say it took me around 10-12 hours to get through the main storyline.

Just my opinion, but i found Fable to be pretty mediocre. Its dumbed down and short. Small world, unclimactic finish, Just didnt like it much.

Id get Jade Empire or KOTOR or something over Fable. Im sure they're in a similar price range.

Fable is a guilty pleasure game, and if you see it in a bargain bin for cheap, then go ahead and pick it up.

it actually is a lot fun, just dont expect it to compete it gameplay to Gothic or Oblivion. Or to The Witcher or NWN in content.

The Lost chapters part does bring a more satisfying conclusion then the XBox version did, but the game is still pretty short.

1) you can travel to the different cities with a teleporter thingy you get

2)The gameplay is great, but is nothing like oblivion. i like fables gameplay more

3) unfortunately, I beat the game in 11 hours, but if you do other stuff like helping people, getting married to a lot of people, keeping marriages intact if you know what i mean O.o it may take around 20 hours.

If you want a more linear RPG, you can't really go wrong with Fable. This isn't the epic adventure some might expect, and it certainly doesn't live up to Peter Molyneux's hype, but Fable is a good RPG in and of itself. As long as you have reasonable expectations and realize that it's a short game, I think you'll have a good time with Fable.

Its really a fun game, you do no customizing at the begining. Suprisingly though it has very good customization you just do it after you start playing. The game is very fluid unlike oblivion and most other RPGs. You either decide to put exprience points in melee combat which is very fast paced. You can go for a archer, Fable has some of the best bow implementation of any game. You can also decide to go into magic which has some very fun unique spells, all of the damage spells are instant cast and can have some awe inspiring visual affects. The game does not have a high system requirement and I have a fairly weak PC that can play it on max settings, and it looks great, It has a very cool visual style as well.

The storyline is very well done. Your alignment plays a big part as well and can drastically change your looks. In this game it makes being good alot harder, because you have work harder to get the same goals that the evil playing character can instantly get by just killing one person. Although being good will score you more quests. People really react to you in this game unlike other alignment based games. People will cower in sight of you if you are evil, and if you good it is much easier for you get a wife/people will cheer you everywhere you go. Being good will also makes your looks better and people wont sneer at your ugliness, but of course if you are evil and ugly and they puke at the sight of you, you can just kill them:twisted:.

The extras in the game are very nice too, you can buy houses make them nice looking for you and your fiance to move into, or just rent out the house to make money. And the mini games are some very fun games, including chicken kicking, blackjack, coin gold, etc...

I highly recogmend this game and if you can get if for a meer 20 bucks why not try it?

well it depends on what type of game you like

the main quest isn't that long maybe 8-9 hours to complete (game is alot longer if you dont teleport)

loads of side quests achiving good or evil getting all silver keys

no it's nothing like oblivion or morrowind you can only level up if you have enough experience

Hope i helped
