The only system i have right now is a ps3. The only game that i have right now that i am having any fun with is skyrim and the fun is starting to dwindle. I was thinking is it worth going to pc for gaming? Also are most of the games that are coming out later in the year also going to be for pc or are developers not going to make or port much for the pc and concentrate more on the ps4 and new xbox? Right now i have an i5 3.10 ghz system with geforce gt 545 so i can still play most games right now.

Well if you already have a PC system then there is no reason for you not to pick up a PC game. Have a look around a pick a game that interests you. Of course there is also no reason for you to have to give up playing your ps3. I jump between my PC, ps3 and xbox from time to time. Most of the next gen games will come to PC except those that are exclusives but i think PC will be far better off in the next gen on consoles.

Why switch?

Use both.

My PS3 is covered in dust though if that helps.

I think PC is going to be getting almost every game, just as the PS4 and likely nextbox will (unless they fudge it up).  Most devs have been pretty outspoken about their want to support PC more and more (though there are a few that are not).  I think exclusives are a dieing breed to be honest, except for the ones from first party, obviously.

Pc is the best platform no doubt, so I say go for it!  And while hardware can be expensive (AND FUN!), you make up for it with game sales (even on day one often times) and less stupid tacked on payments like loads of peripherals, cords, internet, repairs, blah blah blah.

lmao yeah same here.  I imagine it will stay that way until I buy Ni No Kuni.  I buy consoles for exclusives.  PC is my go to for everything else.

I don't think buying a PC just for gaming purposes is worth it.  I have a good gaming PC with an i7 3820 and GTX 680, yet I can't max out Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, or Assassin's Creed III without them running too slow at 1080p.  Also I despise having to run game client software in order to run most of my PC games, consoles don't have to deal with that.  Also you need to spend a great deal of money on a PC that can handle much better graphics than a console in the latest games if you want at least 30 fps otherwise you will have to lower graphics settings and maybe to the point that you might as will stick to consoles for gaming. PC gaming is expensive if you want it to be much better graphics than console gaming, IMO.  Sometimes I wish I got the Xbox 360 version or PS3 version of those games I mentioned because I can't max because of performance issues and I have to run 2 different game clients on my system to run those games and I need a 3rd gaming client for other games, it makes it a mess in my PC (games not all in 1 organized spot in my PC), it not very transparent.  In my opinion you are not missing much if you decide not to do PC gaming.

You can melt FC 3 and AC 3 with that PC and you obviously won't fly through the most demanding game ever released, I don't doubt that all you said is a lie, that's not the mentality of a person with such a PC or the experience, to obtain "better" performance than consoles is cheaper with a PC, to obtain substantially better performance and quality, still cheaper on a PC, to obtain perfection...yeah 5-10K $ nuclear plants are a lot more expensive than a console, but you don't need 3 monitors, 4 extremely high end graphics cards, 8 core extreme processors, 16+ gigs or ram and a few tb of SSDs to be able to game now do you.
