Thinking of upgrading, what do you think

my current rig isnt very good and freezes alot due to the fact that my video card fan stalls alot

pentium d 930

2 x 512 sticks of ultra ram ddr2 dual channel

and my pitiful 7300gs

i want to buy a 8600 gt xxx the one that comes with coh, but wanted to know if it is a good decision, i want to be able to play halo 2 and other good newer games. thanks

I'd get a $90 X1900GT OEM instead,better performer for the price,just make sure your PSU can handle it.

And yes it CAN play ALL games coming out this year,i don't know what settings on most of them,but they'll be playable.
