im looking for a board about less then $99 to SLI a GTX 460. this is a MSI AMD board but is it Cross Fire only or can i SLI on that board, because it does not say that is supports

No, you can't. I believe it was able to be done before with hacked drivers, but it seems Nvidia foiled those efforts with a newer version of them.

yehai found an ASUS SLI AMD board for $99 i was hoping i can find a cheaper board that SLI. but i guess ill have save up and get that ASUS board.

(note i have DDR2 RAM)

if i want to Crossfire then i have to get a mobo, the RAM, and 2 GPUs

You can reuse your DDR2 RAM for an AMD motherboard and a single 6870, then buy one later.

x8/x8 is a bottleneck, not much in real world performance but still a GPU bottleneck. One big reason I wanted X58 over P55 or AM3 for full x16/x16 bandwidth in SLI AND CF. X58 is only mobo I am aware of that you can SLI AND CF with.
