Oh noes?
I guess I'd be more awe inspired if I was a major Warhammer fan. I used to own the board game, but I would have my fun painstakingly painting the models, then just setting them up to shoot with spitballs or airsoft playing out my imaginary war.

Eh I liked to do intricate things like that when I was younger. I was good at it too, loved models.
I wasn't a fan of the show, but I liked the robots. The thing that pissed me off was building Gundums. I'd put the whole thing together and when I would attach the crest to the head, my young hand wasn't steady enough and I'd break it. So much super glue used and stuck together fingers...
This was a good move since Relic didn't get what they deserved with CoH, DoW and DoW 2, this will probably make them A LOT of money, who knows maybe they'll release it on PC too after some time.
TF2 updates? wtf? Who would prefer some kind of patch over a brand new game... Anyways this game looks pretty good. The bigger diss is that Relic snubbed PC's for their next Warhammer title, and their fanbase is all PC gamers. Not missing much
I'd take an updated TF2 over that anyday.pvtdonut54

The video just doesnt look all that great to me personally. If it loked fantastic I might be a little pissed off at this not beign on pc, but it looks very MEH from that video.
I don't think it looks great, nor do I think it will be, I think there are a lot better games coming to PC to compensate.

And Warhammer's fanbase is on consoles too. Consolites missed many titles, in both the fantasy and the 40k universe.
It might be another button bashing hack n slash but the fact that it's Space marines means I WANT IT!!! lol, might have to blow the dust off the old 360 for this one
From the video, it looked like Gears of War. Gears of War was crap. I rest my case.jimmyjammer69Gears of War was crap because of it's lame story filled with people who were supposed to be "soldiers" but instead looked like rejects from the WWF or CMT. It is a shame that PC gamers are not getting this because regardless of whether it's the sort of game one would like it is nonetheless a Warhammer IP. And good or bad (Fire Warrior anyone?) ALL Warhammer IP should be on the PC and nowhere else. The same is true for all Battletech IP. Should all be PC exclusives just because the sort of people to play minatures wargames are far more likely to be intelligent enough to play games primarily on PCs.

Rather, the more suitable argument is that PC gamers are what made them and supported them all these years, from the very beginning. But I don't really care to be honest, since we have a WAR40k MMO in the works! (too bad for consolites....and MMO-haters hehe)
Looks like another extremely toned down game. Simplify everything to make it easy to use on console. Even DAW II was heading down that track. Can't beat the original DAW for strategy.
Hope they stop going down the track of following a single squad through a campaign. Rather rely on my own wits and strategy to source income and build armies to win.
damage control much? suddenly a game from a developer that has gotten tons of praise for its real-time strategy games (relic) looks horrible. Now I wonder how THAT could have happened.

Relic seems to be following in CA's approach - action goes on consoles, strategy goes on PC.
This is somewhat irritating, but I can't say I'm surprised. Look at The Outfit.
It surprises me that they're doing xbox exclusively. You'd think that they would get a lot more sales from the DoW crowd (the ones that only have PCs) that just the consoles. If it was any other company I could understand, but Relic already has the market and the fan base almost entirely based on the PC.
An A-RPG set in the 40K universe? HELL YEAH!!!
I have been drooling over this for a while now...can't wait...and I'm not missing out either. My 360 is waiting patiently for this.
The reactions to this being console only are hilarious too! I really feel sorry for the people who need to clutch to a particular platform and pretend everything else is for kids, dumbed down, or whatever sorry excuses they need to make.

Not certain if you were implying my "simplify the game to have it run on console". I didn't mean it's for kids etc, I in fact mean, there is no way console can play a full on RTS strategy game like PC can. This is why they are resorting to Action RTS. Not dumbed down for console players, dumbed down because a console cannot possibly have the amount of control with a controller.
I have both PC and 360 so I don't believe in system wars, however I feel if they create such a game as this on 360, then for PC they need to put it through totally separate development and change the concept back to the original DAW days.
For the DAW fans, if you had a choice to get the same game, but one is simplified controls, the other is more of the traditional PC RTS strategy, which would you get?
