That motherboard doesn't support overclocking. Get a P35 motherboard, the Gigabyte P35-DS3L or P35-DS3R along with the Abit IP35-E are good choices.

I'd go for a 20" Widescreen if possible, and maybe the E6750 rather than the Q6600.

The X-Fi Xtreme Audio isn't a true X-Fi, it's missing some of the features of the X-Fi cards.. get rid of it. If you're an audiophile, get the X-Fi XtremeGamer. Not quite sure how good the X-Fi Xtreme Audio is though.

Okay. Get this motherboard.

Monitor

Stick with the motherboard's onboard sound, you don't need a sound card really.

well there is nothing wrong with a quad but its not super necessary, its nice but if your trying to save some money I would definetely cut that out. the quad is $100 more than the E6750. and most appilcations arn't even multithreaded for dual cores let alone quads. anyways get a p35 mobo like the above guy said but instead of a 320mb GTS get a 2900pro. the 2900pro is basically a underclocked 2900XT for only $250 its a steal pretty much.

^the 2900pro is a better buy. IT has more 320 stream processors while the 320mb GTS has 96, the 2900pro has a higher bandwidth rate and has 512bit memeory while the 320mb GTS has 256bit. Basically that pro is a slightly underclocked 2900XT, its more powerful then a 320mb GTS.
