Dawn of War 2
An RTS closer to be considered an action rpg. You collect loot from bosses, upgrade your small squad of troops, and upgrade stats/spells individually. It has a lengthy singleplayer campaign that supports co-op and online multiplayer to offer long stable replay value.
The game's story is not the strongest and limited to one race.
Mirror's Edge
Something fresh and unique that is short and sweet similar to Portal. There's no online play and the only replayability it offers is running through segments in time trial mode.
F.E.A.R. 2
While not quite as good as the previous 3 iterations it's still a decent FPS. The story is not as strong and you might feel lost not having played other games in the series. Killing baddies in slow-mo may be cliché, but it's done right here. It might feel like a crutch, but is much needed on higher difficulties.
The game's multiplayer is all but dead or nearly there from what I've heard.
Grand theft Auto IV
One of my personal favorites, definitely true to it's game of the year 08 title. Guns, Cars, licenced music, killing cops, and a living breathing world to roam along with more of what you would expect from a GTA game. The story is one of the best movies never made and the main character along with the supporting characters are the most likable in a GTA game to date.
The down side of the game is it lacks a lot of features that were loved or hated from previous GTA games such as customizing cars in the pay and spray body shop, fire fighter missions, larger variety in guns/cars, leveling your character's stats, ect. Mostly features that made other GTA games so great, particularly San Andreas. The game is also a horrible PC port. The game can run beautifully on one computer and like a pos on a rig with 4x the system requirements.

I would get DoW2 out of the bunch myself.
