After looking at the video in

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6250190.html?tag=latestheadlines;title;1

i saw the interface, and what blizzard is going for, reminds me too much of steam with valve. Are we going to honestly enter the age where each publisher has a "Steam" that we have to log into with seperate friendslists and whatnot? thats getting a little rediculous if you ask me.

Personally i'm not too excited about the new system. Guess i'll just have to wait and see?

It may be a bit too busy, but as long as the Auto-Matchmaking lives up to their hype, it all is fine by me :) Once beta hits I'm sure we'll see some user videos of the thing, and maybe it'll be nicer than they show in that video. The "badges" seem a bit lame, but the ability to add friends is good for any game. Let's give it a bit and see what the beta videos look like.

Can't really say much about it from that vid but so far it looks and sounds just awesome.

Redundant.

I enjoyed the crude, raw interface SC's B.net had. It gave you a feeling of pragmatism and efficiency over pretty useless graphics and effects that made other games' online interface extremely clunky and horribly coded.

This one looks much more complex. I hope they keep it light and efficient. Also, we'd need to know more about the map sharing system to judge it properly.

I think this looks a lot better than Steam quite honestly (in regards to the community interface). I never used Steam's community features, but I could see myself using this.

I'm not really impressed, there's nothing new.
