So ever so slowly picking parts with the help of you guys.

1080gtx x1 very likely msi.

and i7 6700k

...so far. I will be overclocking. Any thoughts on this mobo? I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. I just want stability, good speed of course, and the ability to overclock. My last mobo was an asrock so I figured it may still be a good company :)

ASRock Z170 Pro4S LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Any other suggestions definitely welcome :)

Thanks guys!

Here are a couple more options

Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3

MSI Z170 Tomahawk

Asus Z170-A

ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K6+

And this one is abit more more but offers better OC and features vs $150 ranged boards

Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7

@04dcarraher: Some of these are twice the price or close to it. Gigabyte isn't bad though. Any qualms with the one I picked initially?

Alright so I'm looking to spend under $200 Canadian. There seem to be some great boards on newegg.ca in my range. Any opinions?

@ydnarrewop:

There is nothing wrong with Asrock you picked, I forgot that your Canadian, But that MSI Z170A SLI Plus, looks like a winner for your budget.

@ydnarrewop: look for which features you like the most, then decide on the board.

IMO there's no need to spend over 130$ for an SLI board unless there're some worthy features for that extra 30-70$
