I am looking for some advice concerning a friend of mine's PC.  He has a 2.4 P4 IBM PC with 256MB ram.  He is looking to play Tiger Woods 2007 but the computer only has PCI slots.  The min/rec specs for TW2007 is 16MB/128MB graphics.  Does anyone have an opinion if the GF 5200, 6200(256), or ATI 9250 have enough PCI horsepower to play this game well?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies

you sure he only has pci slots? I couldve sworn the 6200 comes only in agp 8x and pci express both of which are far superior to pci slots. None of those are especially great video cards, but the 6200 would probably be your best bet, and it would probably run fine, as the system requirements for the game are very low.

first of all, get about another 256 mb of ram for that machine

pci cards totally suck, im sure you know, but the 6200 overclocked is the best pci card out

but pci is super slow, in no way is it a great gaming system

with that he can run the game I believe

I agree with the memory upgrade to 512. He normally doesn't play games but some friends of his from where he used to live talked him into d/l TW2007 so they could all play online but his old system was way too slow. He got the new system for $105, still under the original IBM warranty, so he couldn't pass it up. How much slower is the 5200 compared to the 6200 considering that they are both slaved into a slow PCI slot?
