So long story short, house got struck by lightening and basically fried the crap outta my comp. Ive come here looking for help on building my next pc. Now heres the catch though, the ONLY pc games i ever play are tf2, garys mod and counter strike (maybe portal 2 probably not though). Running these games on max would be my ideal goal. My last rig had no problem (duel core 2.1ghz, radeon 4650, 2 gigs of ram) that alone was enough for me lol. So where to start lol. What do you guys think? I have a sleek 24 inch LED moniter so the display is already take care of, just need a tower. As well, I do most of my shopping at newegg but i also use london.kijiji.ca (its like a local ebay minus shipping lol) so if you guys find anything there please post. What do you guys suggest? In terms of budget, id rather not go over 400.00 Remember, im mainly looking to run tf2 on max.

Yeah im Canadian. Also, i forgot to mention, I work at bestbuy and we get discounts on everything in the store (we get everything at cost which is the item minus any profit best puts toward it). DVD drive as well as hdd can be both purchased for relitievly cheap. Also, if you guys find any decent towers on that kijiji link that worth looking at i can just pick a prebuilt one and add stuff to it to save monay. Like i said, this is mainly for tf2 and counter strike.

If you can get things at cost at bestbuy pick up a 500gb or 1 tb harddrive (7200 rpm 16or 32mb cache), then pick up a dvd burner. pick up the rest online http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10360BD2143&vpn=ADX640WFGMBOX&manufacture=AMD http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=16950BD1549&vpn=870-G45&manufacture=Others http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=1241184014H&vpn=KVR1333D3N9K2/4G&manufacture=KINGSTON http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10530BD7462&vpn=EAH5670/DI/1GD5&manufacture=ASUS http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=22510AC3321

You will notice a difference. The HD 4670 is around 20% - 25% better than the HD 4650. The HD 5670 is around 20% - 25% better than the HD 4670

perfect, thats the kinda info im looking for! Last question, the whole build you linked me all adds up to about 200 (270 with a hdd and dvd drive) I wouldnt mind paying an extra 50-70 more if theres a better graphics card. Like i said, 400 is the absolute max i can go.
