For the graphics card, go with the ATI 4870. Great price, unbelievable performance.

I think this is the best deal.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130338

It comes close to a GTX 280 and beats it in some benchmarks and costs a lot less.

Ye. Where SLI is works. Let alone horrible micro-stuttering and (sometimes) bad performance when lots of AA and AF is applied at high res.

I won't even open tomshardware link. Btw i believe that you have a hard time reading my full post, therefore you might miss some words like "sometimes" and "micro-stuttering".

Its not only Tomshardware that shows the 9800GX2 beating a GTX 280 in some benches but guru3d.com, neoseeker.com, and many more and none of them said any problems with the 9800GX2.

nah go 4870 sorry for losing you a bit :P but hardware spec you can get easily lost specially when it come to overclocking...
it a true mayhem the pc parts i doubt that you can even understand half of what people like in previous post know lol
yet i got few people who like there pc build i made i must have build around 40 pc build since i know pc. that not a mountain but it does have help people and friend of mine my knowledge thx to people of gamespot to contribute to it tough Feedbacks & benchmark is way to know some stuff 4870 DEFEAT 9800GTX anytime. so you should go to that.
unless Ur really laking of money then you can maybe aim 4850 Overlcock such as Sapphire 4850 TOXIC it defeat or compare to 9800GTX+ While 4870 Aim more To Crush 260 & 280 GTX

I would go with a 9800GX2. You can get it for $250. That's all you'll need reall. You can play Crysis with playable framerates and later down the line, if you become a Crysis junkie, add another card for kicks and giggles. Otherwise, one 9800GX2 will enable you to play every game out there with excellent framerates.

In a perfect world, I would go with an HD4870x2 though. But it looks like you're set on Nvidia so I would go with a 9800GX2 because it's dirt cheap right now.
