Assassin creed is not a bad game, just too repetitive and I have a bad feeling the control on the pc will be horrible. Go Witcher, best value for your money.You can alway buy AC later after a big price drop, because it definatly not worth 40$
The Witcher is an excellent RPG with a decent storyline, I'd highly recommend it. I've played Assassin's Creed on the 360 and I'm not sure how well they will be able to port the controls over to keyboard and mouse. The game is very good but it's hard to say how it will fare as a port to PC.

Age of Conan have been delayed so many times. I remember it was suppose to be released like a year ago or something. It would be a good idea to wait a month after Age of Conan is released and see how the game and the community is before jumping aboard to a MMO.
You should get the witcher now and then get the assassin's creed when it comes out next month.
The Witcher is MILES AND MILES better then AC.. i have AC on the 360 and while its a cool game, its nothing amazing or super good. It gets really repetative after awhile and doesnt have much variety in the missions, etc...

Id give The Witcher a 9 or 9.5/10 and AC a 8

Well, first of all, they're totally different. I would say The Witcher is the best hardcore WRPG to come along in a very very long time. So it's a definate must play if you enjo that type of game. It focusses a lot on story and morality, as well as action.
I would recommend Witcher. It's a good quality CRPG made in the tradition of NWN and Baldur's with is becoming a real rarity these days. If you want a real single player PC rpg get this game.
PLEASE buy the Witcher and save yourself the pain of playing AC. I got both the Witcher and AC (ps3) for Christmas, and the Witcher blows AC out of the water. AC is repetitive and dull. The Witcher has a great story, good combat, characterization, it's just an overall fantastic rpg. Go with the Witcher.
The Witcher is probably my favorite RPG on the PC in years. I loved it, so I'd go with that. But I think you should play the demo to see if you might like it.
Buy the uncensored edition from gogamer.com though. They're currently out of it right now however :?
If you get the US censored version of The Witcher, the most you'll be missing out on (To my knowledge) are a few nude female npc's, and the collectible Tarrot cards will only have slight nudity in the censored version. Not 100% sure that's all however, since I only have the Uncensored version.
I whould go for Assassins Creed anytime ....evan if i don't allready own The witcher .......... but i own it .... both are great but in their own way !!! 1one is an ACtion Adventure & the other an RPG !

US version has no Dx9 nipples.
I've heard of few american online stores selling the EU version.
