Seriously, this is the best fall season for PC games in many many years, and all that I see on these boards are complaints and more complaints. QW:ET is just a battlefield 2 rip-off; COD4 has terrible graphics and sucks; WIC is the lamest game ever. Of course this is all from demos, but Iam straying from my point. Graphics have gotten so good lately and people just complain that they aren't good enough. In COD4 the smoke, heat, and partical effects are amazing. So are the textures and the level of detail.
I guess my point is this. COD is a quality product and that should be obvious to any gamer. I have my problems with WIC, but it is a quality game too. So is COH:OF, and QW:ET, and the Orange Box and Bioshock. If you are dissapointed so far then god help Crysis, because some of you will find stuff to pick on with it (more likely you will get 10 FPS). If you look for every big name game to inject revolutionary gameplay then just keep on waiting. Those games only truly come around once a year at most. Just be happy you are a PC gamer this year and you have all of these QUALITY (not revolutionary) titles to complain about,
- Company of heroes: Opposing Fronts(RTS)
- World in Conflict(RTS)
- Medieval II: Kingdoms (RTT)
- Unreal 3(Multiplayer FPS)
- Call of Duty 4 (SP and MP FPS)
- Crysis( SP and MP FPS)
Already broke this fall...
- Orange box (seriously 5 games)
- Kane & Lynch ( shooter 3rd person)
- Hellgate: London (action/RPG)
- Bioshock (storydriven FPS)
- Universe at War (RTS)
- Quake Wars (MP FPS)
- Empire Earth III (RTS)
- Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (Massive RTS)
You don't have to like all of these games, buts seriously. thats like a $1000 worth of big name games this Fall. And I didn't even mention less hyped games like fury or timeshift. Find something you like, play it, and stop being a troll. Again this may be the best year ever for PC gaming!
