the impression i get in reading that is that all the info was gleaned second-hand from vague sources, probably forums or something

bioshock is about as controversial as my feet, and my feet are slightly controversial, but they won't be making it onto the top ten most controversial feet list any time soon

besides jack thompson, and he's more of a vaguely amusing annoyance than a real force, does anyone have a problem with bioshock? it's well established that they aren't human girls any more, harvesting them would be considered a mercy by any rational standards of humanity

Some of it looks right.

I mean games like Doom, Postal and Mortal Kombat do belong on a top 10 most controversial games of all time list.

But where is Carmageddon? The GTA series also, not sure why they picked out GTA:SA as the only one.

I agree with the above poster that a game like Bioshock is out of place. Sure its hyped but is hardly controverisal at this date and time.

Tbh todays games can hardly be controverisal unless someones make a really really gory game with some child abuse thrown in or maybe some gay sex. Other then that it have all been done before.

And not that i think gay sex is all that controversial anymore, but im sure Bush, americans, the Pope and the italians wouldnt agree with me.

wow, mfsa, your feet comment is awesome! If i was one of those silly people who 'sigs' awesome comments i probably would.

Anyway, the first few on that list seemed like good choices, and gta and manhunt of course, but bioshock? Nah. And resistance? Maybe in england, but only england.

There's no mention of "Ganja Farmer" in that list which leads me to believe that none of it was researched.

^ Try and tell me that ain't controversial - look at all of those police resources being wasted there! If the cops left poor John Parker alone, maybe some real crime would get solved...like the 'new' O.J.Simpson thing...

Yeah, whoever wrote this is either young, or isn't really an avid gamer. Bioshock on the "controversial" list? You can't have that on there without System Shock, and SS2. Furthermore, you can't have GTA sequels on there without the original.

A couple of those belong: Doom, Postal, and Mortal Kombat, but where are the games that helped make the others controversial? Leisure Suit Larry, the original Tomb Raider, Duke Nukem... All of these games paved the road for todays games, and you can't have the new ones without the old ones.
