Top 10 most impressive game graphics

No idea when it comes to the top 10, but here are a few.

• Crysis
• Crysis Warhead
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky
• Empire: Total War
• Far Cry 2
• ARMA 2

Doom 3 (2004) when this game came out, it was praised much more for its light effects. nowdays, if you look at it, it is crappy, but back in 2004, this was quite a shock.

World in Conflict

Company of Heroes (it isn't that impressive but it's the best when it comes to atmosphere)

Dawn of War II looks great too

X3: Terran Conflict

Trackmania United Forever

GTA IV (It doesn't look extremely well, but the art style is super and you'll never find a game as complex and diverse as it when it comes to textures, and objects, even the smallest details)

Most recent games look great. One from the previous list certainly doesn't belong there, STALKER SoC, that game is garbage, it doesn't look decent even after you max it out with 8xAA, Clear Sky on the other hand looks great.

Asking what games you should get should probably be judged a little better than "what has the best graphics".

Yeah, I remember when it first came out, people were saying how this was the game to buy a new latest and greatest graphics card for. That game has not aged well...

But in my opinion, back in 2005 F.E.A.R. was the game that set the bar for graphics that holiday season of games. I introduced a lot of state of the art visual effects that hadn't been seen before in any game so I like to think that game was the best graphically speaking of this decade, in fact I'll go ahead and say it's one of the best games this decade as well, it's definitely one of my top 5 games for 2000-2009

World In Conflict has VERY impressive explosions. Napalm, hydrogen bombs, nukes, heavy artillery, carpet bombing, daisy cutters its all there. You won't believe you were playing the same map by the end of the game as every building and stucture is destructable. Smoke and water effects are also top notch. Just a great game, good story, great sound, great visuals, great multiplayer. Wish it sold better, very under apprectiated.

Add Dirt 2 to the list. I'll be making a PC Dirt 2 screenshot thread sometime on system wars repping the pc, you guys will be able check it out then.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s graphics sucks! I prefer Battlefield 1942 graphics to that, lol xD

I can't name 10 games but BioShock, Half-life 2 (all episodes), Fallout 3 are among my favorites when it comes to graphics.

but the thing about stalker is the mods for graphics, the stalker complete 2009 mod will rival any game in graphics today, and run smooth. the mods for stalker games are just about endless.
