In your opinion, the best value players would get out of which MMORPG's?

I'm uncertain between WOW 5.4, Rift, FFXIV:ARR, but there might be something else out there as well like DCUO, idk I havent played MMORPG's this year...

This. GW2 as a Buy to Play for Free Model gives you MASSIVE amounts of content. Is fun to play, looks gorgeous and very polished. After that I would say The Secret World (for something different in both MMO mechanics and setting). Then you have SWTOR which is very similar to WoW but with a lot more emphasis on story.

1. WoW

2. Guild Wars 2

3. Rift?

Guild Wars 2 deserves props for having a lot of content right out of the box despite being buy-to-play, but unfortunately much of the content that has been added since release has thus far been temporary. ArenaNet recently announced a new development strategy where they'd release more frequent updates with permanent content but they also said they're not looking at expansions, which I think is disappointing. Ultimately WoW proves you can expect a consistently high standard of quality content and support with a subscription-based model, so long as you're willing to pay the fee.

But is that really true?  All I see is they release new dungeons that just look and play like the last one.

And all I see with Guild Wars 2 are some new events, a few new jumping puzzles, and heart quests. If you really believe the raiding content offered through major patches are all the same you probably haven't experienced much of it. Throne of Thunder features 12 unique encounters (13 on Heroic mode) in a completely fresh location, and the upcoming Siege of Orgrimmar raid will also feature 12 encounters in unique locations. And it's not just raids that are put out in the major content patches: entirely new zones, mobs, quests, scenarios, items, glyphs, mounts and armor, battlegrounds and arenas, and continual class rebalancing among other things.

That's cool then. The trailers just look similar, that's all, but I believe you if you say it's all that content.

I'm actually playing WoW lately, trying to level a Pandaren, but it just seems dated and very repetitive to me now.  GW2 just feels like there is more variety in the levelling aspect.

Hmm, OP wants MMORPGs based on VALUE? I personally would say:

1. Rift. Completely free and the amount of content could last you a year+

2. EVE. You get get the game and 30 days game time for $2.50 on the last steam sale, usually around $20 off sale. EVE always includes every expansion pack free, and you can pay the $15 montly fee using in game currency.

3. GW2. A decent amount of content for no monthly sub. A letdown for me but still a good value.

1. WoW is the ultimate MMO. If you're worn out, try:

2. EVE Online

3. Guild Wars 2

Value wise though, WoW costs a lot to get into it, and a monthly fee. Thats why I didnt include it in my list.

Probably EVE Online. You can actually pay off your subscription fee just by playing the game.

The only MMOs I play are Guild Wars 2, Defiance, and free to play ones on Steam.

WoW, Neverwinter, Rift. I would list Age of Wushu, but frankly the UI is crap and it's still in it's early stages especially in the NA. Once it receives a good amount of polish it'll be one of the best MMOs out there IMO.

I tried GW2, TSW and Neverwinter.

To me Neverwinter was the funnest out of all them.

GW2 got too boring fast, it's very pretty and the combat was repetive and the gear sucked.

I never really got into TSW, but I might give it another chance.

Yup. That's when you quit MMOs. :P
