Heyo, so i've always enjoyed EVE alot. But i'm still a bit newbie, I have yet to make up my mind on how I want to play the game, I want to stay out of combat or "Pewpew" as you PvPers call it xD. I'm more slow-paced and methodical, what would be a good route(s) for me to follow for the financial long-run judging by my play-style?

Maybe join a high-sec mining corporation? The last one I was in was pretty cool, everyone split up all the profits evenly after the group would mine an entire belt... so you pull your weight and even if you don't have a mining barge you can make some profits, and work your way up to something like that.

Best way to start out is an industrial ship like a Badger, with cargo expanders, and just spend your time running ore from the cans to the nearby space station.

Well anyway, I'm sure you'll figure out the details if participating in mining ops seems interesting to you. I think it's a great way to get started playing with other players in Eve with relatively little stress. Just make sure you know and understand the principles behind can-flipping and how to avoid it.

Soloing Agent missions & salvaging all the wrecks. Then sell the salvage parts. There is a very big market for them and you can make a ton of ISK for a beginner.

1. Mission Runs (Level 4)+ Salvage

2. Mining (low sec only)

3. Scamming (legit according to devs)

4. Join Corp that will give you ISK

Might be some new ways, since I haven't played in about a year and a half.

Mining is known to be crap, especially for newbie solo pilots. Missioning is good because you get not only ISK but also standings, LP and loot. Then you can also salvage. It's mind-numbing though, and gives a wrong impression of what the game is about. But I bet some of the richest players in the game got that rich by trading. That takes research, patience and capital, but once you've made your investment you just sit back and watch the money roll in, making adjustments as needed.

1. Mission Runs (Level 4)+ Salvage Decent but takes a while to get there

2. Mining (low sec only) Extremely dull and boring way of making Isk

3. Scamming (legit according to devs) Works but its not a reliable way of making Isk

4. Join Corp that will give you ISK- Lol?

Best way to make ISK for a new player is to find a null sec corp in an alliance and join them, You will make a lot more money quicker there then you will in null sec from just ratting (Killing pirates for bounties) which can be done even with a new character in a passively tanked drake. You can also do PI which earns you billions easily however its only worth doing in null sec. Some alliance are more welcoming to newbies by offering them training for fleet ops and free/cheap ships.

The best way should be the most enjoyable. I'd go with either mission running just to get on the ropes and then null sec corps which is alot more social and interesting - dont be fooled with null sec as being 'dangerous' as I found it alot safer than low sec.

Null sec can surely be prosperous. And it's easy to find out why it is safer than Null-sec. Null-sec is run by alliances for the most part who will rip every pirate a new one if they intrude on their territory without mercy. You don't see that much in low-sec which gives pirates free reign for the most part.
